Hello everyone. So I have peugeot 2008 with 1.2 eb2dt hn01. Long story lost oil pressure and now has scoring on camshafts and crankshaft, so basically engine is gone. The question is what is the difference on engine codes? There are so many different ones,and I can't find any info. I got offered engine from 2022 citroen that has only done 1100 miles,but the engine code is EB2ADTS hn05. They look the same. Is the difference internally? Or something else?

Sorry to say this but that Engine is well known for failing your be better off looking on ebay for one of these engines , or better still , another car , worst engine (one of them) made

I agree, the Purecrap engine has cost Peugeot £millions in warranty claims. If you really want to keep your Peugeot have a word with Dean Hunter ( www.peugeotcitroenrepairs.co.uk ) Like you he is in North Yorkshire, he may have an engine for you.

I think he's more thank likly got another car by now , shame all these crappy engines are even allowed off the product line
