Hi Team,
Last night when driving home, I noticed a very strong exhaust smell through the cabin vents which was so bad I had to turn the re-circ function on to stop the smell from coming through from the engine bay.
I have since checked and it looks like there are exhaust fumes "leaking" from the manifold gasket.
I have done some research but I cant seem to find any guides or instructions on how to do this? I am assuming its just a case of removing the nuts/ sliding the manifold back and replacing the gasket?
The only thing I am struggling with is- when searching for a replacement gasket, it seems to give me the full heat-shield with the gasket? Can the gasket be replaced on its own?
Also, It seems advisable to replace the nuts and/or studs as these can often extract at the same time when the nuts are removed- similar story here, I cant seem to find any replacement nuts but I can find replacement studs?
Any help will be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Sam.
