So now have replaced alternator and idler tensioner. Everything seems to be giving up the ghost one after another?!

Power steering pump is making a right grumbling sound when I listen with a screwdriver? Is it bearings or the pump on the way out? Easy to get hold of and reasonable price?

Hi we have the dreaded heater failure. Hopefully the problem is the white and blue connector which seems to have overheated and burnt. Anyone know of cheap replacement or part number.

Can you tell me if the above is - a part, repair or new unit?

My front offside side light hasn’t been working for a couple of weeks.

Finally had time to check it today.

The white plastic holder where the lamp slots into has melted! The lamp had been replaced about five months ago. I think the holder wasn’t pushed in all the way into the headlamp unit when refitting and this has caused heat to build up....

Now when lights switch is 0 or auto at night al lights are flashing: front, back, intetior, buttons,.... they stop when manualy turn switch to on position. I've picked up the above car yesterday (trade sale so I can't return it) and when driving at motorway speeds and you accelerate the clutch will sometimes slip. Its hard to tell sometimes as the engine is so quiet. There is a little vibration sometimes at idle so I suspect the DMF is wearing out and the clutch isn't far behind.

I have just tried to reset a low additive warning on a C4 Grand Picasso and it keeps coming up Erasing of faults failed , any ideas?.
Also, the service counter, which increases by 1 each time you clear faults has a limit of 50, what happens when you get to 50 - does it self destruct? :?

When accelerating the other day, it revs just died, as if I had switched the engine off, next minute it was fine?

Going through a junction today a car pulled out and pranged the rear 1/4 panel.. Pretty gutted actually this rare Mk1 sinker VSX is an ongoing project. I know the car pretty much inside and out.

O well, it's with the insurance people now but obviously it's uneconomical to repair. Not sure what to do next :(

One horn has stopped working on my car. That the other one works suggests it’s the horn unit that’s faulty rather than a fuse (which I’ve tested), relay, or wiring. I’ve tried giving it a tap which made no difference, and the plug-in connections appear sound.

I can see the horns from the top of the engine bay, but replacing the faulty one appears...
