Sump plug location xantia hdi 110 late 98
Set out to do an oil change, only to find there are 2 bolts where I thought the sump bolt is. Can someone tell me which of these 2 I am supposed to undo. I was assuming the bottom one but, frankly I am mystified.. can someone help please?

It's the lower one. My (90 bhp) 306 has two, too. Always wondered what was behind the upper one but never unscrewed it for a look or had need to take the sump off where could have seen it from the inside.

Thanks for your replies. I shall remove the lower one to drain the oil. As to the top one, I note the suggestion that it could be for oil temp sensor, but my car actually has one of these but wherever that connection is, it is not to the top plug on my car.

Sump drain plugs will be the lowest ones on the sump . 24mm nut i think. Was a while back when i had my xantia , nice cars wished i still had my one.
