Rear window seal p/n C5 2001 Hatchback

Unread post by bighairybloke »

Hi all, my 2001 C5 hatchback has a shattered rear boot window. I have sourced another from a scrap yard but the seal on my car didn’t come off and is damaged. What is the part number for this seal so I can order one pls?
Cheers

There are multiple parts to the trim, if it's any of these parts you need, but the screens themselves are like the front windscreen and are actually bonded to the vehicle, so not sure what you want. The old bonding need cutting off before the new screen can be re-bonded and will need new clips.

The weatherstrip seal is item (5), part: 870774, £92.89 from Citroen and still available.

That looks like the one I posted - item (5) in my post above.

Hmm, now I’ve found number 5, it looks more like the seal for the whole boot?

Correct, the glass is bonded on as you can see in your image where all the gunk is and the weather seal goes along the top and all the way down the side of the boot as seen where I have highlighted it:

it goes only round the contour on the glass, see here, yellow is where the seal goes, green is the seal itself

These are the only things I can see listed that cover the glazing and boot.

There's a used seal here:

Not to worry, I will have to reuse what I have?:-( thanks for trying, I suspect the seal is part of the boot or comes with a new window.
