Here's the specific fault description as it relates to your Engine ECU:
Fault Code: P0237 61
Description of Fault: Turbo pression regulation fault: Pressure too high.

Turbocharging pressure too high
Context of appearance of the fault code: Engine running
Fault confirmation time: 5s
Technical precision on the context of appearance of the fault code - The following conditions have to be met:
- Absence of the fault code P2226 on the atmospheric pressure sensor
- Absence of the fault code P0235 on the turbo pressure sensor
- Absence of the fault codes P0069 - P0236 - P0234 on the turbocharging system
- Absence of the fault code P2112 on the air mixer
- Fuel flow greater than 15 mm3/stroke
- Engine speed above 2500 rpm
- Difference between the measured turbo pressure and the atmospheric pressure less than a certain threshold dependent on engine speed and fuel flow
Conditions for Fault to clear: Disappearance at the next driving cycle provided no fault for 1s.
Downgrade Modes whilst Fault is active:
  • Closing of the EGR (exhaust gas recycling) valve
  • Reduced flow
  • Deactivation of the monitoring of the turbocharging loop
  • The activation of the regeneration of the particle emission filter
  • Deactivation of the particle filter regeneration forced by the diagnostic tool
  • Deactivation of the display for the particle filter
  • Deactivation of vehicle cruise control
Symptoms: -
Suspect Areas:
  • Supercharging pressure sensor
  • Atmospheric pressure sensor
  • Turbocharger
  • Electrical harness
  • Connectors
