Given the number of 'After-sales campaign' notices concerning Takarta Airbags I have been made aware of when looking up parts from PSA for members, I thought I would post a link to the following documentary that may be informative concerning the issue with these igniters.

According to Takata, the chemicals in the airbags’ explosive charge can...

Disruption to Parts Service

This has caused some problems for organisations like ours and the Team are currently looking at the best way forward. This...

Lexia ECU files location?

I was watching a guy on YouTube flashing an ECU with Lexia and he told me the files were preinstalled with Lexia. He said they came preinstalled up until CD45.

Best thing to do is get it read with a Lexia diagnostic and post the fault codes up here with your VIN. The faults will give an indication of possible causes - but without that - there are too many variables.

Good afternoon all, hope you're all having a lovely weekend.

I have borrowed a Lexia cable off of a friend who was using it with Diagbox on a 64bit machine, so it was no good for my C2.

I have dug out an old HP Laptop and installed Windows 7 32 bit (XP was giving me far too much trouble.)

I have installed Diagbox and got in to it a few times-...

Last post

The firmware will auto update, so that won't be an issue - and the C2 is a 2006 model so Diagbox 7.02 will work fine - I have 7.6* working on the 07 C3 perfectly.

As the green light is definitely not working, then I have to conclude that your interface is duff unfortunately. You have exhausted everything else and have now got a clean...

Diagnostic menus

by harryp » 09 Dec 2018, 14:22

First post

Hi all, Does any one know if or where I can obtain a list of all the menus and sub-menus for Diagbox?
I hope I haven't missed one in the Diagnostic section, but haven't been able to find one yet.
I always seem to spend a very long time on a trial and error basis to find the particular diagnostic I require and a list seems to be the easiest,...

Yes, Have to say, impeccable logic as always! I stupidly hadn't thought through the complete picture properly and was only thinking of a couple of models. I shall have to see if I can make one up as I seem to do a complete circumnavigation each time I get to use it lol :?

Diagbox installed! But...

by sparksie » 04 Dec 2018, 23:58

First post

Hi all
I spent all day yesterday trying to install Diagbox from CD.
I had already given up on the version that came with my kit, almost 4 years ago, and was using discs very kindly sent by a forum member, who had successfully installed it himself.
After doing the same thing over and over and getting different results every time, it eventually...

Thanks guys.
I ended up spending the day with a Mk 2 Pajero, so never got to the Citroen.
Might get a chance tomorrow, if nothing else pops up to distract me.
For my first time, at least, I need to be focussed.
On the up side, everything except the wipers still works, so the new battery seems to be helping.
I have access until after the weekend,...

DiagBox live data

by admiral51 » 02 Dec 2018, 18:45

First post

I have looked through lots and lots of threads, without the info posted i would not have been able to get my DiagBox/Lexia up and running so a big thanks to all that have posted.
I am not that tech savvy but my question is how do i get a live data diagnostic, ie if i drive the car with the DiagBox plugged in how do i set the DiagBox to record live...

Last post

Run a global test first to gain access to individual ECU data, select the ECU you're interested in which then reveals a sub-menu including live parameters.
You will have the choice of Standard or Custom.

Standard offers all the relevant parameters according to category - Air, Fuel, Electrical etc.
Custom allows you to mix n match any parameters...

Peugeot 407 v6 Calculator not telecoded correctly.

by Franchute13 » 01 Dec 2018, 11:50

First post

Hi.
I bought a P 407 v6 petrol from 2008 second hand.
When executing a complete examination with DiagBox, in some calculators it tells me the following:

Attention, calculator present in the vehicle but telecoded as absent.

I only show 1 in the image but I have several.
How can I solve this problem?
Greetings.

Last post

Ok, I'll have a look at those 2 for you -

Unfortunately no further detail for the 407 with the Siemens ECU

P1351 Fault on the pre-postheating relay circuit: Relay controlled / plugs not controlled.

P1693 Start and stop piloting fault: Not characterised

If you expand the fault codes it might give you a little more info.

Hi anyone know what protocol the Xsara Picasso 2.0 HDI 2001 works with?
As got a OB2 reader but looking like has to be 04+ with diesels but must work with something as the AA had it hooked up good while back and re set faults

Last post

My information states that for EEC2000 vehicles (Xsara Picasso 2.0 HDi 90 2001) for example is EOBD (European equivalent of OBDII) compliant, despite the general 2004 for diesel vehicles. Codes for the following systems can be read by any mechanic with a SCANTOOL system or capable diagnostic tool:

Ignition misfiring
Efficiency of the catalytic...

Diagnostic Computer Upgrade

by MikeT » 03 Oct 2018, 15:59

First post

I want to replace my netbook (for diagnostic use). It's still useful and will be my go-to-tool for most jobs but it has it's limitations, especially for expansion to other software.
I'll also be wanting to make it multi-boot to accomodate WinXP & Win7, at least.

Any suggestions or recommendations? Preference given to battery life and portability.

Last post

Well I take it back Ellis, having researched other offerings, Thinkpads could be the better choice after all.

Mine is only running 7.02 as it came. This won't talk to the new C4... Anyone got links to update files? And what was the story with saving the licence line to avoid having to re-install it?

Last post

Depends on the Head Unit you have Richard. Some will be mono tuner some are dual tuners for the'diversity' function. So one aerial is locked on and playing, whilst the other is finding the best reception for that station. There may be other aerials for the NAV or the GSM if you have emergency SOS equipment option.

I've had a Diagbox installed on WinXP before (a different laptop) and the laptop recognises when VCI is plugged in and it installs drivers for it. When checked with VCI interface checker, it comes up with...

Turn off Econ Mode While Connected

by Sloppysod » 29 Sep 2018, 23:06

Lost it - I had the information but lost it - well i think I did anyway.

What are the steps in Diagbox to turn off economy mode while connected to the diagnostic software so you don't need the engine running all the time?
Thanks in advance, I will bookmark this time!!

Last post

Thanks Mike, yep, found it as Marc said in the BSI menu,
BSI - Operating Mode
Exit Economy mode
Then you get this message

Then you click on the green tick to validate

Diagbox install

Hello

I just bought the lexia from easydiagnostics and I would like to install it to my computer. Does the internet needs to be turned off turing the istallation?

Last post

If you have a bad battery, I would replace it anyway, but otherwise, it should be fine. The car powers the diagnostic port and of course has to operate the BSI and each of the ECUs as the Global Test is being run.

Am having difficulty finding a replacement battery for Lexia...

Tablet is a Fujitsu-Siemens Stylistic 5022D
Battery type is an FPCBP77 (Li-ion 10.8v 4400mAh), although larger capacity versions of the same fitting are also available (eg 7800mAh).

Managed to find just one outfit advertising the battery...

What a good video, and plenty of electrical and materials detail.
I think the addition of the timer would be a good idea, especially if using a larger current source.
Thanks for posting it Mike.
