Just thought I'd share this experience yesterday.
Parked up for 4 hours at a job, went to leave, started fine as normal. After 50m there is a short but sharp hill then a sharp right. Travelled another 200m and the engine cut out. The fuel light had come on 5 miles previous to this.

Hey, so ive just cleaned my 1.6 hdi egr valve, and the car has really rough idle. It also cant maintain the idle, after a little while it stalls. Also when revving the engine the rpm goes up really slow, and in regular intervals the throttle feels like it cuts off, if you get what i mean. Anyone on the forum ever replaced the centre exhaust section section on one of these models. If so, do you know if the brace bars have to be removed to remove the centre section. There seems to be 3 X braces screwed to the under frame of the body. I can only presume that these are rigitiy braces as it's a convertible?

Bit of an unusual one - my 1995 306 1.9 NA diesel has a rather irritating quirk when at steady revs. To clarify, it idles perfectly, however in a scenario such as steady acceleration to keep the car at 30mph in 3rd, the car starts surging (that's the best way to describe it).
