Parking sensors 3008 (2014)

Unread post by Cannydanny »

Hi, I've had my pueguot 3008 allure for a few years now it's a 2014. I was going to trade it in but thought WHY?. Its in mint condition and drives like new. So ive decided to keep it have it serviced and the timing belt etc renewed, I glad I did because its always been a lovely car.
However I have a problem with the front parking sensors. The garage tested it and told me it was the offside front sensor, I decided to test both the sensors with are on the plastic trim that holds the fog lamp. Both sensors give me a resistance above 10 and I think this indicates they both work. Am I right in assuming that?
Finally both sensors have different numbers, one seems to be front pointing the other seems to be directing to the side, can anyone advise me please.
Do u need to buy original parts or will parts listed and are a lot cheaper
Surfice
Thankyou

You need to know which ones are faulty - which is why your garage advised you of which one it was. Depending on your options, you may have front parking assistance and Blind spot monitoring. I'll need your VIN to advise you so pop that up if you want confirmation (please post your VIN in full without spaces - it will be automatically masked from public view after submitting your post & will only be visible to staff).

Depending on which system you have depending on your model and build date there are different parts for the outer front wheel arch mounted sensors. If you need part info, please see below:

If you can't already find the info you need on the Forum, we do ask for a membership upgrade for official parts data as we are in turn charged for this. It will cover you for future parts requests for up to 2 years, so excellent value.

If interested, links are below, then pop your VIN up.
