Re the 407 door seal issue and airbag warnings, after a few days of rain and testing with the hose, I gave up as water was still pooling on top of the bottom door seal and then running inside the car.

My solution was to put a few holes thru the seal with a leather hole punch tool which seems to allow the water to exit (the door seal gets squashed...

Hi guys, my mums 208 1.0 is not blowing cold air through the air conditioning feature. The blower speeds work fine, hot and 'ambient' cold but no ice cold like before.

I was going to check the fuse, F29 but accessing it is very difficult and impossible through the hatch. What do I need to screw off to get in here and is it an involved job?

There are quite a few places that do air conditioning services or simple top ups. It depends on what you want.

Could anybody tell me if it is necessary to prime the fuel system after the fuel filter has been changed and a pair of fuel injectors replaced, as on my engine I cannot see any priming bulb.
Is it somehow self priming or do I need a syphon arrangement to draw fuel from the tank and then push it back through the new filter removing the air, and...

Well I had to use my RAC card for the first time ever last weekend.
The alternator drive belt tensioner had failed and the belt chewed up.
Have ordered like for like Gates tensioner via ebay but unless I go to Peugeot I'm struggling to find the definitive correct belt and idler pulley.
Weirdly, even the dealer couldn't tell me what tensioner it...

I managed to go online and cross referenced using the Gates numbers. Got a like for like Gates tensioner including post for £33 which is a fraction of dealer price.
This turned out to be the left tensioner. The right tensioner was OK but the pulley wheel

First I need to say that I am almost completely ignorant about cars; motor engineering; the 1.9 TD in particular (although I have the right Haynes manual) and have very few tools and space to work. I have found the issue it was a fan motor, it won't turn over when I connect the battery but if I spin free the fan with my hand, it go round but judder then it lose the speed and it stops. Now is fixed after purchase a used fan motor.

Sounds like an emission issue.

First of all - many faults and issues relating to the engine management will trigger the back up mode to prevent damage. That is why your cruise control and other functions will be disabled whilst this fault is in in effect. That will almost certainly be the same for your ESP / ASR system as some of these functions...

I just changed the clutch on my daughters 207 and when we started it we got a horrible metal on metal noise. 3 hours later it is back off again to examine why. The trust bearing is in pieces and the guide tube is chewed up on the end.

I am 99% certain that DIY dad screwed up and wasted his fathers day and an £85 Sachs clutch by putting it...

One disconnected drain off pipe (I think) though that I can't find a home for. 2 pipes go down the back of the engine and clip to the side of the bracket that holds the gear selector cables. One is the vacuum pipe to the reservoir and that is fine and the other appears to be a drain...

I disassembled inlet manifold, throttle body, oil vapor hoses, the whole intake system, fuel line and oil filter to gain access to the alternator!
I opened alternator cover and removed voltage regulator. I found the problem. One of the brushes had worn out but the other one was quite healthy.

Finally solved! Managed to get a pulley from an ebay seller in Poland, cost me £40 but still much cheaper than an engine rebuild. Not fitted yet but removed camshaft pulley bolt and locked crankshaft and injection pump and when I offered it up timing pin hole lines up. Seems the pulley is the same as Citroen AX.

I'm now having another problem with my 308 cc THP150 engine in that it's pulling up an error code P0087 (RAC Diagnostic report) Petrol High pressure regulation.

The RAC Guy said it might be fuel filter as it's not been changed in 30k miles according to my paperwork.

Got it into the approved RAC garage and the man said it's the HP fuel pump...

Firstly, apologies for such a lengthy first post. I wanted to share all the facts. I have spent quite some time reading previous posts but not could find a solution to my problem.

I can confirm car will bump start & run fine when displaying ‘Economy Mode Active’.

Local garage diagnosed problem as ‘faulty starter motor’. SM replaced £135.

EMA cleared. Car running fine. Crisis over. :) :)

I can only find 2 coolant bleed nipples on my Peugeot 405 1.6i XU5M engine (one on top of the radiator and one near the thermostat both marked in red). Please see attached pichtures. Either ignore it (which is what most folk would do), or drill a small hole in the periphery - 1.5mm maximum, and position at 12 o'clock - if you want to be sure air will not get lodged there.

Hi has anyone got the wiring diagram for the glow plugs on peugeot partner 2008 1.6 hdi.
My van wont start, replaced glow plugs, but still didnt start, when I took them out to test they was ok and heated up, replaced pre heating relay but still didnt start. So looking for the wiring diagram if anyone can help please

That error seems to be a very common one on the HDi engines, and yet does not affect the normal starting (it may be a 'ghost' error). I have seen it on both my C5s, and neither has failed to start.

I have a 2007 307 in for a quick service but the owner has mention it feels a bit low. Driving it myself it feels very flat at all speeds like the turbo is making no boost, the intercooler pipes do not expand when the engine is revved unless i put my hand to the wastegate actuator and pull it back then it boosts quite well.

I have changed the seals washers studs on the injectors TWICE.
I have changed the valve cover TWICE
There are no leaks on the return pipes or feeding pipe to the injectors.

I cannot get the gearbox off a 2007 1.6 HDi 110hp engine. I think I am missing a bolt but which one I can't figure.

I have taken out the joyous one behind the DPF filter. Moving down the front of the engine I next did the stud and bolt that comes in from the gearbox side. The next 2 bolts underneath come in from the engine side behind the exhaust...

Hi all I am hoping someone on here may be able to help me. I've just bought a narrowboat with a peugeot engine. Block tag say PTC Type 162. Cylinder head has 4.7kw stamped by the thermostat housing which is all metal.

Yes that`s a trusty old XUD. and your right, the whole head will be shot. Have a word with Dean Hunter www.peugeotparts.co.uk he will have a head ready to fit and will supply all the necessary parts to do the job.
Its best to renew the water pump and pulley`s as well.

I tried to program a new keyless fob on my Peugeot 308 T8 with Diagbox.

I followed the procedure which suggested I start programming the old working key first, and then the new key.

Unfortunately, the programming of the old key appear to have failed with Diagbox giving the following error: Incorrect hands free remote control number or hands free...

There is kick-down cable adjustment data here, in the 2.1 auto XM publication, which shared engine/gearbox types with the 605:

Go to XM S2 in the table, and click on 2001.
Download the XM_Xantia_Synergie booklet (pdf).

Hello all, I got an error message on the display that particle filter additive level too low. I've been in service few months ago and they had to refill additive. Today i've been on dignostic with my car and it shows, that car has 97% of additivum. We restared the control unit but the error has showed again. So what's wrong? Car goes normally....

My peugeot partner 1.6 hdi has a fault on the head lights. The side lights work ok and also display on the instrument panel , but as soon as I put head lights on, nothing happens no head lights and the light on instrument panel goes out as if I've no lights on.
