I doubt the piece of plastic holding the cable to the floor will cause an issue with the air bag light, but an intermittent loose connection in the plug and socket almost certainly will. Check for a good electrical connection within. Look...

Hi all,

I recently bought a boot liner to fit into my boot but for some reason it just won’t fit.

The edges are contoured as if it would fit but it doesn’t and I assumed there would only be one boot liner available for the crossback.

I am about to fit a towbar to my 2012 DS3 HDi 110. The car is fitted with parking sensors, however these should not cause a problem as I can switch them off whilst towing.

The only thing is I’m not sure how to activate the doors to lock automatically when I drive off. I can lock them manually with the switch in the centre console but I thought this would happen automatically as it did in my DS3 hatchback.

Don't forget that before you can get to this, all the window and door seals have to be removed and the outer lower window door trim etc. before you can get to the rivets on the side of the moulding shown at 31. So there is a bit more work involved than it looks. I guess it depends on how well you know and trust your local garage to do the job....

The newer manufacturer systems are indirect - so they don't have sensors on the wheels. They use the ESP system wheel speed sensors to calculate variances in wheel speed that would determine if the tyre was under inflated.

But you can retrofit aftermarket sensors with a receiver unit that is mounted inside the car somewhere.

To update this thread, engine and egr valve was replaced and car is operating again.

Old engine suffered leakage of cooling water into the first cylinder causing piston break (there were also red cooling water residues on top of the second cylinder, but piston was ok). What actually caused such leakage is still unfamiliar, probably egr valve...

If I have understood correct the car should have a heating element that heats the air when engine is cold?
This can't be working properly as it takes a very long time to get any warm air from the ventilation.

Did you check it visually or actually test it with a multimeter? If you don't have a multimeter, replace it with a new fuse to make sure as you can't rely on a visual check.

Failing that you need to start tracing the wire back and checking for breaks.

When I activate it, water comes from the front of the car in addition to the wipers. I checked and it comes out of from the area of the night vision camera... is it supposed to be like that?

You have a Hybrid system, so the combustion engine drives the front wheels and the electric motor drives the rear wheels, depending on the mode selected. So yes it is 4X4 if you choose that mode.

Retrofit DS7 reversing camera?

Hi All. Saw and awesome deal on a DS7 performance line lease and loved the interior yesterday in the DS “salon” :-D

Disappointing though not to get a reversing camera on the Performance line - not sure I can go back to using mirrors and beeps now. I saw a kit on Ali-express and there is blank in the tailgate.

I guess the cabling wouldn’t be...

USB Jack / Rear 12V Socket

I would like to help me disassemble the 12V socket on the back to replace it with a USB socket; My VIN: VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]. Thank you

No you cannot take a 12v feed from the reversing light or brake circuit! These are specific circuits for the lighting and are not designed to provide a 12V power outlet.

You already have a 12V supply in the rear. Just use a 12V to USB adapter if you require USB power - something like this:

REVERSING CAMERA

Ok I have a 17 plate DS5 Performance 180BHP, was the owner of Tourewr until recently and loved my reversing camera. The Performance line does not have one, does anybody know whether the wiring etc would be in place and all ai need to do is to purchse a camera and get it installed, plus connected up to the system to get picture on screen. Thanks]

DS5 driver electric window

Hi

Just thought I would relate an experience with a failed electric driver window on my DS5 Blue HDi 1.6 (2014).

Pressed window button only to hear a scratching sound but no window movement.
Mechanic (not dealer) told me the whole window motor unit needed replacing, as Citroen do not sell parts for it. (This was correct).
Cost was just under...

Good tip about the felt channels. With age, and dirt on the glass edge, they can acquire a lot of friction. You can sometimes hear a motor struggling. If the door is equipped with anti-pinch or current limiting, the window can fail to complete its movement.

I have a DS5 Blue HDi 1.6 2014. No spare wheel because of the AdBlue tank under body.
I bought a space saver wheel from EBay (guy from Glasgow).
Cost £96, included tyre and jack kit.
I have it in middle of boot standing vertically, and strapped to the back of the seats using a ratchet strap. No longer notice it is there. Actually does not...

Wheels are shot

My 2012 DS5 19 wheels are pretty shot. Too many kerb crunches leaving gouges. deep scratches and general scuffing all over them. Can't afford new Citroen but see some from Holland for around £110 each. Has anyone got other suggestions? Refurbishment ides/cost etc?

Problem or not with rear suspension ?

Hello!
I still haven't received the car, but I've read - I've heard from various people in the car that it's having a problem with the suspension - sashi especially in the comfort mode. Is it true? Has the problem fixed in MY 2020? Is it a construction mistake?
If that's the case, I'm thinking of canceling the pickup and asking for 3008 possibly...

Loud Popping Sound While Reversing

Hi, I own a 2018 DS5. I jut bought it about 4 weeks ago and I noticed there is a very loud popping sound when I release the parking brake, slowly moving and turning the wheel. This happens many times, usually when the car is moving slow and while maneuvering through tight corners especially during reverse.

Yeah I will, Thanks btw. Also the wide tyres is not the problem because the tyres are not very wide and I checked the tyres doesn't come in contact with anything.
The fact that you can still hear the sound even you are standing about 5 meters away from the car.
I got a BMW F30 and it also makes that sound but very rarely I must say and the sound...

Dynamics Display on DS7

Had to wait for the other half whilst she went in to a shoe shop so had plenty of time to play around with the control system.

2019 DS7 Prestige

Just out of interest I set up the driver LCD display to show 'Dynamics' on the right of the screen when the 'Personal' display setting was selected from the roller on the left side of the steering...

Help please: When i engage reverse gear my 180% camera does not always work but seems to work fine on other times, my car is only 3 weeks old Ds7 petrol auto.

anybody else have this problem?

Don't muck about with any issues within the first 3 years / 60k miles - get it straight back to the dealer. There are a lot of these rolling off with various issues.

Tom Tom is fitted and working for 3 years then you have to subscribe for updates. Problem is I bought my car used and it had been disconnected from the main system. I know an update is now available and it’s going in next week to get everything working correctly. Data sharing must also be turned on so informs your mobile phone via Bluetooth lots...
