hi i have a 16 reg ds5 is there anyway to connect my phone to mirrorlink i've tried but it's not happening

Have you checked out and followed ALL the procedures on page 47 of the manual concerning Mirrorlink?

You need to have a compatible handset and possibly an APP, connect it to the USB port, and select the Mirrorlink from the Source Menu.

What Phone model and software version have you got on your phone?

My ds5 2014 model came out without a touch screen so no mirrowlink, is there any android system out there that I can buy and have it installed to enable CarPlay?

There's not much of a place to install an aftermarket system on a DS5 as the head units are usually integrated behind the fascia on the DS5, with the controls part of the centre console moulding which may butcher the car's appearance. You might be better off trying to see if one of the later DS5 systems (SMEG or Connected Nav on a 2016/17 model) is feasible - but it will depend on the electrical architecture on your 2014 model and BSI compatibility.

I did have what I thought was the answer but the plug to attach to the screen was not compatible.
