I don't have knowledge of the Peugeot, but the issue of a loose connection is known with several makes of car.
I doubt the piece of plastic holding the cable to the floor will cause an issue with the air bag light, but an intermittent loose connection in the plug and socket almost certainly will. Check for a good electrical connection within. Look...

To our massive embarrassment, we purchased a Renault Megane 3 years ago with an injection fault which we still have not fixed.

Its a 1.5dci estate. K9K728 engine , 100bhp. Delphi systems.

As many people asked how to change and also mentioned where is it located... here is the solution for those.

It took me about 30min to actually find it.. and about 1.5 hour to change because i had to find my way. (very awkward to change it though)

Its quite funny though.. you have to demolish the dashboard to change a filter. The oil filter loaction compared to pollen filter is very confortable to reach :-D

Changed the wipers on kangoo the other month for its MOT,

Maybe I'm a bit dumb.

Is it possible to park wipers in another position apart from there normal horizontal place?

Is the driverd side only meant to lift an inch or so from the screen as changing it is proper **** about?

Switch the wipers on then turn the ignition off when the wipers are in the vertical position. That normally does it for me.

I've recently picked up a 2008(58) Laguna, with the sat nav, half leather etc. It's a lovely car but I'm struggling with keyless entry. I've left the key in my pocket and tried pulling the handles and pressing what looks like a button/sensor but nothing seems to work so I'm just using the buttons on the key lol. Can this be turned on or...

The keyless entry can be quite awkward at times. Start by putting new batteries into the card, that usually helps even if all the other functions are working. In winter you often have to stand with your pocket right against the car to get it to work. To open you should just need to put your fingers behind the handle in front of the black plastic...

Where is the fuse and relay located on Espace mk4?

The pump is not running at all, and I will replace it even if it's just the fuse that is gone. I have been trough the same ordeal on our 2006 citron C5

Also any tips on how to replace the pump from below with the bumper still on would be greatly appreciated! :-)

You are best to get a CD workshop manual for it. They are usually floating around on Ebay. I had one for my Vel Satis and it gave detail on about 10 different Renaults, every relay Ecu and trouble shooting. One of the best manuals I had.........all the P/Ns as well. I am sure your Espace has similar set up to Vel Satis.

Hi all,

I would like to hardwire my dashcam so I can use the Parking mode. I had a look in the fuse box in the glove box but couldn't see any ground point that I can use... Does anybody know if there is one in the fusebox or whereabouts?

Hi I have a megane scenic 2, 2005 that I bought privately,( wish I didn't now).
It's a long story but I'll shorten it as best as I can.

Megane 111 radio not working

2009 Megane 111 1.5 diesel. The radio suddenly would not turn off or respond to controls and now will not switch on. There is nothing besides the RENAULT and the temp on the screen . Have checked the fuse in the glove box. Any ideas please?

As the title really, bulbs are lasting a maximum of 2 weeks on both sides dipped beam. I'm buying quality bulbs and it's happening consistently. Good evening I'm new here,anyway this my last throw of the dice. The engine had a bad ticking rattling noise from the cylinder head. Help - I went to a relatives Megane and the battery was flat, the car had not been used for a couple of months or so, anyway after trickle charging the battery, the car started fine and drives as he remembers. It's been years since I owned the Fiat Pete. If I recall there's nothing to stop the nipple flying out once you release the circlip but I think there was a second circlip slot in the bleed position. So you pull the circlip slightly, ease the nipple out until you can slide the circlip back in to hold it. It was awkward on the fiat so don't know how...

I've purchased a fuel filter from Eurocarparts and it is the one with the water sensor fitting. My question is does anyone know if you have a make a hole in the filter for the sensor?

I picked up a 1.5 dci Megane tourer a month or so ago, and apart from the usual clockspring/squib fault, everything seems ok.

One thing that I did notice is that when hastily shifting up from 1st into 2nd (eg at a roundabout or junction), the engine over runs and the revs shoot up when the clutch is disengaged and my foot is off the accelerator....

I'm covered for wear and tear, all I need to do is pay a percentage of the cost of the repair as an excess.

After finding this eminent Russian guide, I took on the job to change ~50% of the ATF since our 2008 Espace IV is now close to 200.000km.

Since the fill plug is hard to get access to in the tight Espace engine compartment, I choose the alternative way to do it.
Filling trough the drain plug is nothing new. But so far I have not seen anyone...

I've got a 2003 Renault Scenic 2.

The near side dipped beam stopped working. I changed the (blown) bulb, still nothing. 'Surely there can't be separate fuses for each headlight?', I thought. I checked anyway, and discovered that there are indeed two fuses. Both fine. Changed the one on the non-working side, just in case, still no light.

Hi Dean

The same happened with the 406, the bulb went and from then on no power. I ran a thin lead across to the other light and picked up a heavier supply from the fusebox to feed the relay, took a great deal less time than trying to find the fault and didn't increase the load on the wiring.

In trying to locate the hoses top the gearbox oilcooler in hope it's possible to do the oil change trough them. Or at least let the oil out that way as I've read on Volvo forums is a good way to get (almost all of) the oil changed.

I just bought a 2003 Megane saloon 1.5 dci, I almost stole it at 220.00. It has problems the drivers side driveshaft is broken at the carrier bearing and the wishbone is scrap. I got the front part of the shaft out and I'm not sure if the inner part taps out. More importantly I can't see how to lower the subframe to get the wishbone out. Any help...

It's there any chance the original alu rims from an 2001 got enough room for the front calipers on our 2008?

The car are on 18 rims and by eye measure it looks like nothing smaller then 17 would fit.

Would be good to get confirmed what rims will fit. Alu and steel.

OK guys here's the issue.

The wiring to the ecu needs to be checked well, any signs of chafted wires just after the plug will need further investigation, has the security box been removed from the ecu plug ? its the left hand side plug i am talking about, its also worth disconnecting both the plugs and checking the ecu pins are clean and are without corrison.

Scenic 1.9dTi (non commonrail) turbo diesel sold in Indonesia, only with manual gearbox.

Is there Scenic 1.9dTi in UK or Europe with automatic gearbox, what is the brand and type of the gearbox or is it similar automatic gearbox used at 1.9dCi (commonrail)?

Front spring rubbing on wheel arch liner when turning hard.

I've just replaced both front springs on our 2008 Espace.

Now the left spring is rubbing on the plastic in front of it when turning hard left.

The ends of the spring is against the stop on rubber at the top and against the stop at the bottom So I can't see what I possibly can have misaligned.

I bought the car with a bad spring. And since it's a known weakness and the owner did not know when and anything about why it broke, I did not look for/expect any further damages.
The spring seat on the dampener did look OK to me. And the new springs looked very similar to the old one.
I replaced the other spring to since they dont cost much and...

Recently I was seduced away from my XM V6 by a Jag which is excellent in almost every respect, except I don't like it. A Vel Satis V6 petrol has piqued my interest but I don't know much about them. Some advice would be appreciated. Especially if it's helpful :)

About 6 months ago the Check Injection message appeared on my daughter's 2008 Megane 1.9Dci (130Bhp).
The car was running badly and a trip to a diagnostic machine showed MAF circuit. The MAF sensor was therefore replaced with a secondhand unit from the same model and with the same part number.

Squeaking ekectric sunroof shade when closing!

I have cleaned and lubricated the wires and tracks on both the panoramic roof and the sunshade on our 2008 Espace.
It did speed up the opening a bit and clearly makes the motor on the roof sound less stressed when working.
The only issue I can not solve is a annoying squeak that starts when the sunshade is about one section from fully closed.

My Megane is a 61 plate Renault.

The service indicator shows up saying when, but where can I find a list of what the service schedule of change parts and inspections to carry out at the said interval.

At least I can reset the service indicator from the stalks.

I just bought a 2003 |Clio, 1.2 16v, the previous owner had a bit of an incident , a bolt broke on on the lower ball joint causing the car to go into a kerb, the wheel and lower arm has been replaced and the tracking has been done, it stays in a straight line but when you go round a corner the steering doesnt return to centre with out help it...

If the tracking was done with those faults present, it is probably wrong now, as the camber and caster angles will have changed.

unfortunately we discovered that the head gasket had blown when we went to collect the Kangoo so we returned it to the previous owners
who said they would refund us once the reg docs were returned to them. They intend to sell it on anyway.
so watch out for a yellow Kangoo for sale in Oxfordshire, it may have lots of oil in the water bottle.

I purchased a Laguna 2.2dci last week, and went to start it this morning, It turns but won't fire,
I have the red stop management light on at the moment, I've checked the battery terminals, nice and clean, and Ive checked battery voltage, 12.6,

You need a decent cranking speed, I realise this is the Renault system however I would expect it to be similar in that the injectors will not be signalled if the engine rpm is too low. Although this quoted text is for a HDi again, it may assist:
