My colleague Paul has a '95 'M' 405 1.9 TD with a heater that won't heat.

It appears that hot water is going into and out from the matrix as both inlet and oulet pipes are hot. The fan will blow air through all the vents as per the ventilation control position.

Do any of you kind folks have any suggestions for him?

I have just aquired a 309 1.4 petrol . It has an oil escape which comes up through the dipstick..... I am assuming that it has a buildup of pressure in the crankcase. Is there a breather that could be blocked or am I looking at an internal problem. The engine is not smokey and doesnt seem to spew loads of oil either from the exaust or the dipstick...

HI all.. A friend's plastic tank has a minor leak. The leak seems to be coming from a plastic stud that once was a mounting for the exhaust / tank shield.

The mouting isn't really needed as there are a few others to support the shield. Also, someone has 'aryldited' the inside threaded bit of mount anyway, rendering it U/S.

I recently removed the sump from my 205, in an attempt to cure an oil leak. The gasket was replaced, as well as a bead of hermetite red on the block face, and the sump face.

There is however, still an oil leak. From what i can see it appears to be coming from about 3 different places.

I have a 306 dturbo 3 door 306. Am I correct in assuming both items of glassware are bonded in?

I have rust under the sealing strips which I will repair. I just need to know if the glass is pop out or cut out.

My 306 (2001 X reg, 1.4 LX) has got an annoying intermitant electrical fault.
The grey relay (or flasher unit) that is in the fuse box (and is for the indicators) buzzes whilst driving, it operates as normal when indicating and when it buzzes whilst driving the indicators do not flash.

it goes up very slowly with quack-quack, sometimes doesn't raise and must lift it up with hand, it's more serious during rainning and moist days.

As you can see in the top left of the picture the rubber mount isnt attached to the bolt/rubber bit running through it.

Hi, got a 406 2l HDi 1999 (not face lift model)
Sometimes, the engine management light comes on, and the car goes into safe mode ie. won't rev over 3000. Sometimes stopping and restarting solves the problem, sometimes it won't go away. Almost always after parking up for a longer period of time such as a few hours or overnight, the car runs fine...

Just a quick one, my abs light has started flashing for a few minutes and then becomes a solid always on light when the car is on and running.

Low voltage can cause the ABS to go into warning mode like im geting now but are then any other causes I need to look out for?

I've just replaced the clutch on Dad's 205D. Nice job. I did it single-handed using an engine crane on the gearbox. Dead easy.

Can anyone offer some advice.
Under the rear bench of my 406 (estate no sunroof) there is lots of water collecting in the soundproofing.
The bootspace is dry and there is no sign of water coming from the quarters.
Any clues?
It does have roof rails, has anyone heard of the seals around the feet of the rails leaking?

Guys do I take it from the lack of posts on these that they are fairly reliable? Just bought min at 84k on clock with full service and new cambelt. Previously I have had 4 Xantias and the old BX.

Hi all just wandering if anybody know of a good breakers yard in the west midlands/staffordshire that might have a front passenger side window as some t**t put mine through last night. Or even if someone has got one for sale. :evil:

The cable in my daughters electric window has snapped and I wondered whether anyone could help me with replacing it. I don't think it is interchangeable with other window regulators and the only alternative is a complete new unit.
