Permanent faults, no warning light

Post by spider »

Late TUD5B with the electronic pump and ECU atop the battery to control it all.

The top one will not clear, the bottom one will then return after a restart.

There's no K light on when it should not be (it works as it should) and the glowplug operation is as expected as is its control light, ie: light for anything between 2 to 8 seconds, then the relay shuts down about 5 or 6 seconds after that.

No other problems. There were some legacy codes stored but that was from me ages ago unplugging the advance sensor between the delivery pipes.

Brilliant starter hot or cold and certainly no running concerns. It always has been really.

May ignore it as not sure how to sort that, I'll admit I put a relay from a 306 (I think) on it however it was wired the same and this 106 does not have any 'extra' wiring to the preheat unit just the standard ones, the only thing I do note from the wiring diagrams is they are not wired as you'd expect, ie the 'signal' to the warning light for instance and the 'start' 'cut out' do not go to the starter / panel, they go to the ECU so it knows about them.
Andy.
