Hi. I have a 55plate 206 1.4 hdi sw. It turns but will not fire. In engine fusebox, fuse 8 keeps blowing as soon as ignition is on. When wire plug between fuse 15 and 8 is removed, (first plug top left) fuse does not blow. I assume these wires lead to the faulty component. Anyone know what it feeds?

For those of short attention span - turbo actuation fault diagnosis on the Hdi is loads easier with a vacuum gauge. 30 quid well spent!

My 307 has a slight misfire at idle. I know this can only get worse I have no access to diagnostic software and doing a leak test isn't an option. Is it possible to unplug one injector at a time until I find the duff one and will doing this do any damage or even work?

Hi. Today I was goofing around in my car. I removed the ashtray from its place and I noticed a little diode. I tried everything to light it up - turning on ignition, pushing the lighter button, etc. Anyone knows what this diode is for? I'm just curious.

One of my estates has suddenly come over all weak. Very little throttle response until you get to around 2600 rpm then it takes off. Tried MAF as that's what it felt like but no improvement, also found the throttle cable slack, fixed that still no better. No smoke, tried an Italian tune up that didn't help either.

Any suggestions?

The lights on my clock display seemed to be getting duller so I took it out and changed all the bulbs now none of them works! Is there a fix or would using these do the job? .
