Hello,

Can anyone tell me what the best battery brand is please for my Citroen C4 Grand Picasso, 2016, or are all batteries the same?

Thanks

I had a battery test done last week by Kwik Fit as I was having several intermittent electrical issues. They tested it immediately after driving into their garage and said it was a good battery showing me the result on a display machine.

I went today to have it tested my a mechanic (friend) at an independent garage after being rested for 15-20...

Hello,

I need a bit of help.

I have a Citroen C3 (FC, FN) 2008. I have been noticing that there is a slight overpressure in the expansion tank when I check it in the morning after the car been sitting all night without driving. That is at least 10 hours sometimes longer. I just did a block test until the temperature reached 72C and the liquid...

Evening all.

First post on here for me after purchasing a year old C5 x Hypnos phev with 3,500 miles on the clock. Since purchasing the car I've doubled the mileage and I'm really impressed with it, finding it such a relaxing place to be. I've managed to get to grips with most of the tech but there's one thing that's slightly confused me -...

Hello
I've got a new issue with my 'ol high miler.

I seems like the waste gater for turbo 2 doesent work, when you lean in to it in 3rd gear or full revs on 2nd it boosts with 1.6bar over atmosphere. And shuts off with no fault codes to prevent it blowing up.
Max desired is 1.4 bar..

3/4 vakuum actuators seem to work, click/clock noise when...

Hi All,
I have a new to me C3 Aircross 2 1.6 Diesel 2018 which had a rear driver side headrest missing.
I know the front, centre rear and two rear side headrests all have different sizes.
I want to replace it from a breakers yard, but I want to check if the size is the same for all C3 Aircross models. For example, would a rear driver side headrest...

Hello,

I am having the usual BPGA issue here, and am ready to buy another unit. When I went shopping with the numbers I got from mine, there is plenty of new and used units online.
Upon entering my reg an a few different websites their system said the unit is not compatible . Numbers on the unit match, but that not compatible is stopping me....

Another query on this infernal thing…
Since I bought it, I’d been hearing a vibration from the engine bay at idle, which is basically there throughout, but comes and goes in intensity. Disappears when revs increased.

While under the car with undertray off, engine running, attempting to diagnose the engine mount issue, I spotted the cause - the...

Oh my oh my! - Thanks for the info, Marc- I was expecting a price in that neighborhood but again- wow!
Can I ask here for buying options? There is both original parts and non-original alternatives out there, does anyone have experience with non-original shock absorbers perhaps? (If this enquiry is not fitting here, just tell and I will...

I have a 2005 Citroën C3 Pluriel. Love the car. The convertible top stopped functioning years ago. Looks like a couple of the guides are broken per the image and video, though these are probably are not the only issue with the top. The video only shows the broken right guide, the left side is also broken. Replacement parts are no longer available,...

I installed an android head unit which meant being creative with the wiring harness - none of the wire colours matched those shown in the owners/haynes manual. During this process I must have shorted a wire to earh, because not only did the new head unit not work, the windscreen wipers activated! Then 30 seconds later again and again, hmmm, head...

2003 C3 My car's door locks and four buttons do not activate the lights, and only the ignition key's immobilizer chip and key tip are plugged into another remote control. I don't know if this has anything to do with it, and also the air conditioning. It states that there is no communication with the panel (BSI). What does it say? I only have a...

Hello everyone,

I locked the car overnight, and when I opened the doors again in the morning, the dashboard displayed warnings for a parking brake malfunction, suspension malfunction, and brake malfunction. The car wouldn't start, and when I first tried to connect it to the OBD, it wouldn't connect. I removed the battery, waited a while, and...

I have had the car since July and only noticed this issue today when trying to make a call on the way home from work today.

Bluetooth works for Spotify and answering calls absolutely fine, no issues at all. However, when trying to make a call myself, it cuts off and goes back to the radio home screen. When I look at my phone when trying to make...

Hello everyone! I have a problem with my vehicle. On the way to the seaside, my AdBlue injector came loose, and the heat from the exhaust gases melted the connector! This happened during regeneration, which was interrupted, with a bunch of warnings on the board (Engine Fault, SERVICE, AdBlue...). The vehicle continued to drive normally with a...

Hello
I have a problem with a sliding side door on my Citroen Nemo Multispace.
The door opens about an inch and then stops. It's as if the lock is not quite opening far enough to fully release the latch.
Before I take it apart just thought I would ask you for some advice.
Does the mechanism perhaps just need some lubrication, or can it be...

Hi,

I have a Citroen Jumpy from 2013 (I think this one is called Citroen Dispatch in UK). I use this van as a camper. Sometime when sleeping in it I first lock all doors via the key remote -- but sometimes in warm climate I want to open the back doors to let some extra air in -- only problem is that when I do this then the sliding door by the...

Good afternoon our 2012 Citroen C5 X7 1.6HDI VTR+ Tourer failed the MOT today. Does anyone know the part numbers and the compatible years I can get a rack off?

Has anyone completed their own repair? I presume it is leaking at the usual point, the pinion.

Any replies appreciated.

Morning all
Just bought a 9 car play unit for my 2009 grand picasso. Didn't realise how big it would be. It comes with a couple of adjustable mounting brackets, but I can't figure out where to put it. I don't want to block part of the windscreen off. I don't mind drilling a couple of holes, so has anyone any ideas please.
Thanks.

Hi Guys,

The Dogmobile has started to misbehave when using anything more than a modest amount of throttle.

On anything over around 30% there is a sound like rushing air from what sounds like the front right of the car, followed by ABS/ESP warning, tyre pressure warning and MAF fault.

On light throttle, car runs fine, but suffers hesitancy on...

Hopefully someone can help me with this.

I'm after getting a refurbished gearbox for my Nemo, is there an external part number stamped on the gearbox that I can see, to cross reference this with the company selling the refurb box? As I imagine there are different variants across nemo/bipper/qubo models.

Or can I find this information out from...

Bear with me to explain this in what i think is right. Just had my blower fan motor replaced. On testing the garage couldnt get the vent direction button to work so suggested it was the heater flap motor or blending motor that was the issue. Does anyone know where these are located and how to get to them. Part numbers would be great as well. The...

Hi, I've recently bought this 2012 Grand Picasso VTR + HDI 1.6. Everything was great for a few weeks. Now it appears a ghost is operating the blower fan. Sometimes it works as it should and then suddenly it comes on full blast and the up/down speed buttons have no effect. It may stay like this for a few minutes or a a couple of hours. Switching...

Hi all, new here and not an expert but am an industrial electrical engineer. My daughters cabin fan isn't working on her 2015 HDI grand picasso. The fan was worn out. I replaced it and stripped the old one it was shot. Then I replaced the resistor unit but still nothing. At this point I started testing. 2 volts to cars metalwork on both positive...

Hi all,

I had my C5 (Year 2007) 2.0L Petrol EW10A Throttle Body cleaned today. The Throttle body was very dirty as I watched the mechanic cleaning. They then used an universal scanner to search for any fault code in the car. None was detected.

However, while driving home, the message “Engine Management System failure” suddenly appeared and the...

Dear colleagues,

I am sending in my FAP for cleaning the next days. Could anyone please post me the manual how to proceed (also in diagbox) when changing the FAP? If VIN needed, here is it: VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff].

Can anyone give an advice on how to disconnect the rubber hoses to the pressure sensors and the two electrical connectors above the FAP?...

Wooops !...B-B-B-B BANG !

Stellantis has told all UK owners of Mk1 DS 3s and Mk2 Citroën C3s built between 2009 and 2019 to stop driving their cars immediately.

The order affects both the Citroën DS 3 and later examples of the supermini that were sold solely under the DS brand.

It comes a week after a woman in Reims, France, was killed...

Hi all

My Xsara Picasso has a leaky steering ram.
The situation does not appear to be deteriorating - the steering has probably 90% of its power. I do however have a squeaky steering wheel but this started after I was forced to drive down a bumpy track and so I don't think is connected to hydraulics.
My issue is - I would like to change the...

Good evening, I'm new to this forum and just wanted to share a little account of a vehicle I've recently purchased.

Hopefully this is allowed.

Hi,

It has been a very long time since I have been on this forum, I am looking for some help regarding my Xantia V6.

Very long story short it has been off the road since March 2011 and stored in my fathers garage.

For the first 4/5 years I would start it up every few months.

I since moved away and it fell by the wayside. So hasn't been...

Hello,

What is the cheapest way to set up Diagbox?

I was looking at a VLinker MC+ device, as I could use this with my other car (Italian and their software).

If not. What other options are there for a cheap set up?

Thanks.

Hi

In a THP engine the turbo Westgate is switched on and off by a vacuum line ( output of the vacuum pump ) that goes trough a solenoid that can block/let the vacuum to the Westgate. On top of the solenoid there is a vacuum reservoir. Does the vacuum pump line connected to the vacuum reservoir input and the output of the vacuum reservoir is...

Hi all,

Having just bought a C5 Aircross and having got a son who goes to football twice a week, I was looking at buying a relatively inexpensive set of seat covers all round to protect against the mud and rain that I can put on and take off when needed

If anyone can point me in the direction of a reasonable set from their own experience, that...

Hello,

So this is the diagnosis codes I got done using an X Tool D8W for my Citroen C4 Grand Picasso.

I had a BSI reset yesterday too, but the parking assist error came back as soon as I reached the end of the road. Only once and hasn't happened on any drives this morning.

I took it to Kwik Fit for a battery test and they showed me the battery...

Hello everyone, my first post here, although I read the contents often.

I removed the airbag and the steering wheel on my 2004 1.6hdi Xsara Picasso in order to clean the contacts inside the COMM2000 unit. After a successful maintenance of the COMM2000 I started reassembling everything and noticed that the green (male) socket on the right hand...

Hi folks,

I've still not got round to the timing belt job, but noticed an oil leak I'd like to identify (and fix!). However, having looked from as many angles as the cold weather and a pair of wish they were taller drive on ramps will allow, I'm struggling to know what I'm looking at.

I've removed the plastic under tray, which was covered in...

Hi all,
Does anyone have a procedure or set on instructions for fitting a window glass and regulator unit to my C5 Tourer front door please?
I did a search, apologies if I missed it, but couldn't find it.

I bought a new front passenger side door from an online scrap dealer and it came without glass and with a regulator that looked like it had...

Hello,

So I went into GSF today and ordered some boch wipers.

I asked the salesperson why do many variant sizes come up for my 2017 (ND66 reg) and he advised that I get the wipers that are 30 and 32 .

I have been on other wiper sites and they are suggesting 28 and 30

Can anyone tell me the correct size and would it make any difference?

Thanks
