Hi, I've recently bought this 2012 Grand Picasso VTR + HDI 1.6. Everything was great for a few weeks. Now it appears a ghost is operating the blower fan. Sometimes it works as it should and then suddenly it comes on full blast and the up/down speed buttons have no effect. It may stay like this for a few minutes or a a couple of hours. Switching off the car and back on agin sorts it out sometimes, sometimes not.
Sometimes the blower doesn't work at all and then suddenly comes on and can be worked by the buttons.
I've seen that blower fan problems seem to be quite common on this forum. Unfortunately I'm not very technologically or mechanically minded; I wanted to do some leg work before having to take it into the garage and spending big money. Does this seem like the "resistor" type issue - ive seen a sort of hedhehog looking part mentioned, some one mentioned a "fan speed controller" - and where would I find it in the car? Its a right hand drive, non digital fan display (i.e large turn button for temp / buttons for fan speed, ac, demist etc)
I hope all that makes sense. If I can give any more info that may help please ask. I'd really like some help on this. Many thanks.

Hi Jon and welcome,
I'd suggest the first thing to do is a BSI reset following the procedure in the link below. Then post back how it performs after the reset.
