Evening all.
First post on here for me after purchasing a year old C5 x Hypnos phev with 3,500 miles on the clock. Since purchasing the car I've doubled the mileage and I'm really impressed with it, finding it such a relaxing place to be. I've managed to get to grips with most of the tech but there's one thing that's slightly confused me - ambient lighting. At night I have ambient lighting around the central console and door handles, together with footwell/courtesy lights on entering but there is no ambient light from under the central dash at all. I've checked that it's turned on in the settings menu (it is) but there's no light at all there. So, looking at all the videos (mainly lhd cars on youtube) it looks like it should be illuminated and the UK spec sheets seems to suggest it's there but it's not.
I've booked it into the dealer to have a look under warranty - it could be a fuse or loose wire - but then I saw a comment on a youtube video from an owner in the UK who seemed to be suggesting that rhd cars don't have the central ambient lights. Does anyone know if this is correct? It would seem really strange if this was the case but who knows? It's not a big issue for me but it'd certainly be good to have it.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Advice on C5 X ambient lighting
Many thanks Mick - much appreciated.
I actually visited the dealer this morning and they have confirmed that for UK spec cars there is no ambient lighting under the dashboard! Quite staggering really for a car costing c£42,000!
Don't get me wrong, it's a first world problem and makes little difference to the car but it's interesting that it isn't made clear in any of the UK spec brochures (as far as I could tell).

Re: Advice on C5 X ambient lighting
I know the Hynos is supposed the be the top-top spec, but the Shine-plus models have Ambient lighting on the continent but UK models didn't, even though the sales brouchure said it did, apparently, us Brits don't like it!!! - Going on this, sorry to say, I would be supprised if you have it fitted. Asked your dealer for the Vehicle spec by VIN, that will tell you if its fitted or not - good luck.

Thanks Stu - yes I thought that the Shine Plus models as well. It's baffling why they don't fit it to UK spec cars as it can't be either expensive or difficult to do so. Oh well. The garage did actually check the VIN spec and confirmed it wasn't fitted.
Shame but I do like the car anyway.
