Hi all,
Not sure if it's normal but I'm getting this message Energy economy mode activated . The system is going to shut down every time I start my car.

I have a battery monitor and it doesn't look like that the 12V is dying. The 12V start charging every time I start my EV, the lowest energy level registered by the 12V monitor was 12.48V.

I'm...

Hello folks.

Citroen C4 VTR+ 2011

Headlights not working and it’s all a bit weird. On starting I get 2 messages. ‘Check dipped headlights’ and ‘Check sidelights’
Sidelights and full beam work fine. Tried changing bulbs on dipped headlights and they still do not work.
Looked for fuses but where the manual says they should be they don’t exist!...

Hello,

I desperately need some help. I have been left in a disastrous situation for over a month. The airbag light came on in my Citroen Grand C4 Picasso 67 plate. Took it to the mechanic (this was last month), and he said i needed a steering squib. I thought i could source the part myself but it has been a nightmare. Citroen won't give me the...

In August I bought a newly converted campervan (Citroen Relay 2017 LWB 2.0 bluehdi) for around £30k. It had 58,000 miles with full service. The seller was a private company who converts vans and made it clear of no mechanical warranty. I looked at buying a mechanical warranty from a third party…if only my time machine worked!

Come September we...

Cheers in advance
Mark

So I switch this on and with a second or two it switches back off

Hello everyone,

I own a Citroën C6 2.7 HDi from 2006, and I’ve noticed some gearbox issues when it gets warm. After about 20–30 minutes of driving, it starts revving too high in second gear and then shifts into third with a bit of a bang. Sometimes it also happens between third and fourth — it feels like the clutch is slipping slightly.

I’ve...

Hey guys
Bought a 2005 Citroen c8 2.0 HDI with RHT engine. It has 81k miles on clock and it was driving really well until it started to run rough and decrease power when taking off from junctions etc. there was no engine light so I just thought maybe bad diesel so I removed the tank and drained the diesel and changed the fuel filter as the...

Hi Folks. More trouble or more of the same. With Jim and Micks assistance we found a faulty lead to the crankshaft sensor, replaced it and the sensor, the car now starts and runs and doesn't drive to badly but still has these throttle flat spots. If I disconnect the MAF sensor it virtually stops the problem but it then has a rough tickover and...

Hi,

I have 2013 Citroen Berlingo (pre-facelift, made 07/2013). Does anyone know, what is the TPMS relearn procedure for this car?

I have two sets of wheels for summer/winter. One set has TPMS sensors and the other one doesn’t. Wheels without sensors obviously don’t work and it ends up with “tire pressure not monitored” warning. I never had any...

Hi everyone, first time posting here and hoping for some advice.

Car: Citroën C4 Grand Picasso (2017) 1.6 HDi Automatic
Mileage: 225,525 miles
Maintenance: Timing belt at ~210k miles, serviced every 10k miles.

The car has been running fine until recently. One day it struggled to start. After several attempts it eventually started. When shifting...

Hi everyone. I have a problem with my petrol Citroën Xantia 1.8 16v from 1996.

The car won't start when I turn the switch on. I check the fuel pump and when the switch ignition is on, fuel pump don't have power but cables from pump to double relay are good.

All circuits are checked, double relay replaced for new one, inertia switch...

Hi all, first off I am very much not clued up on vans/cars so hoping someone can shed light to my situation. I have had an ongoing electrical issue with my 2019 Citroen dispatch. Various lights continue to pop up on the dashboard and are all red, the stop, battery and engine light. They will go away after a while but often come back on (sometimes...

Hi,

I just replaced the left front suspension strut on my 2008 C5 Tourer as it started leaking badly, everything went fine and when I test drove the car it was smoother than ever, no problems. However today, 2 days later, the front of the car now doesn't rise and fall smoothly when the height is changed, instead it goes up in jerks, as if it's...

Hi!
Have a really leaky hydraulic pump. Solutions?

Hi everyone,
This is my first post as I am new to the forum. I need help in resolving a problem with the blower/fan on my C5. I understand that its a common problem that may be related to some sort of resistor/heatsink network that is located on the blower fan. The problem is that I find conflicting information on exactly where this device is. I...

Hiya, i have recently bought a Citroen ZX and i am wondering what side skirts are available?
i have been told that 306 skirts fit, and other cars also fit?

Is injector pilot relearn needed on earlier 1.6 HDI?
mines the ubiquitous 90HP 1.6 HDI (9hx) from 2009 no DPF. EDC16c34 ecu

I've programmed in the injector codes for the four Bosch 0445 110 311
which were accepted.

Now this mr niceguy thinks correct codes are not enough and a injector pilot relearn is needed:

but that is for a ford and later...

I am in the process of fitting leather front seats from an Exclusive into my 2009 VTR+ Tourer 2.0hdi.
Last weekend I swapped out the door wiring harness for the Exclusive harness which includes the wiring for the position memory switches, which I have also fitted. I've added the door control unit which is inside the door car up near the mirror but...

Hello everyone,

I need to replace the car battery on my Citroën C4 (B7) 1.6 HDi, 2013 start/stop. The battery specs are 70Ah, 760CCA, AGM.

Does anyone know the best steps to follow for a safe replacement? Also, do I need to code or register the new battery after installing it?

Thanks so much to anyone who can help!

The N/S/F hub bottom ball joint has started rattling - but it's immovably seized into the hub. :(

So a replacement hub is needed to get her back on the road.

Does anyone know which other models used the same hub please?

Better still, does anyone have one?

I'll post in For Sale & Wanted once I know exactly what I'm looking for.

I've posted...

Hi, Does anyone know if I need to register a new battery in a C4 Grand Picasso 2016 so that it is charged correctly? I believe this is called BMS Reset. If so, can it be done without an expensive device & how? Or does anyone know of a reasonably cheap device that will do the job? I have a Xtools Anyscan A30M, and although I have seen videos where...

My apologies in advance if I am posting the same question asked and answered elsewhere, but 20 minutes of searching has not got me to a more correct point.

In ignorance, I never knew until the last few deays that there are several different types of Eolys fluid, and I have a strong feeling that I jumped in and bought the wrong stuff.

My (July...

Don't know yet exactly what broke to make it happen , but had a large coolant leak (more than 2.5 Liters went out)
The thermostat housing or other plastic tube is the suspect. Only Monday will know.
Anyway , my biggest shock was that unlike the previous C5 , this X7 doesn't warn about low coolant level
Could they do that just to economize...

I suspect he will get one :rofl2:
See the video and tell me you don't get the same feeling  :

With all the great machines he drives , an old activa was able to surprise him. I feel less crazy now

I wonder if it is from some member of the forum?

I recently bought. 2009 VTR+ Tourer with 2.0 HDI engine. The multifunction radio display barely showed anything, so I have now bought a remanufactured unit. The display is brilliant and everything scrolls and works as it should, except that the Aircon shows only the seat icon and 22 /22.. The climate control.itself works fine but nothing seems to...

Hello.
I need to replace a dead SOS system battery, in Citroen C5X E43 2023y. but I can't locate it. Could you please help me locate this battery?
Regards.

Good day all,

My (July 2015) C4 Grand Picasso II 2.0 Bluehdi 150 EAT6 Excl. has finally thrown all its adblue toys out of its tank at 82k, and is showing the dreaded P20E38 pump failure. I don't have the time to follow Stuart's brilliant home repair on his, which he has documented elsewhere in this forum, and my bank manager has threatened me...

I recently purchased a 2009 VTR+ Tourer, which has conventional steel springs. Carrying 5 people last night across bumpy Fen roads, the rear suspension kept bottoming out making the journey uncomfortable. I cannot find anything on this subject and there only appears to be one grade of spring available. Wondering how you would manage to tow...

Citroen spacetourer 1.6 diesel, 2017 model.
I have an issue withe the engine fault spanner light comes on with both engine management lights when I start but if I turn off the ignition and back on quickly it goes off. Really starting to annoying me, any ideas?

My 2019 Citroen C3 is knocking occasionally especially when reversing. Very occasionally when turning. Any help / advice much appreciated. Thanks.

Hi everyone,

I wanted to share and get opinions about a very serious incident with my Citroën C4 II (2013, 1.6 e-HDi EGS6) here in Sweden.

On October 28, 2025, while driving at about 50 km/h, the left front ball joint suddenly came loose and completely detached. The drive shaft was ripped out of the gearbox and gearbox oil started leaking out....

Hello,

can anyone with servicebox access help me get some info about my Citroen that I am trying to fix.

Thanks

Altough this is no longer available as a kit , I still have one on my car and am clue less as to when it should work.
A very help full supplier sent me a set of instalation instructions for a C3 Picasso- its wordless instalation instructions just pictures.
The connections to the car wiring are 3 wires on a plug red , black and grey connected to...

So, I have been blessed with a 2001 Dispatch, 93 hp 2.0 HDI engine (BTED w3, RHX), RPO 8950. 340000 km on the clock. Having now sorted out the easier-to-diagnose flaws (leaking head gasket, tank pump not delivering fuel under 1/4 tank), I am at a loss with this last one.
The car surges ever so slightly under small loads like gentle acceleration...

Car:
Citroen C4 2008 1.6 HDi 110 9HZ/80kW

Problem:
When idling after a cold start, it runs OK (i.e. steady rpm), but when coming home (or parking somewhere after driving) the idle is pulsating (about 800 rpm, then up to about 1000 rpm, then back to lower rpm, and so on up and down). Also, when driving the car it hesitates at some points. For...

Hi, (very) long-time lurker here, surprising myself that this my first post!

I'm on my second C4 Grand Picasso, a 2.0 HDI from 2009. I've noticed that is losing coolant from... somewhere, but not showing any other obvious signs of a bigger problem. I'm having to top it up from slightly above the minimum line every 100km or so, although it's...

Hello everyone
I'm new to the forum, I've been working in the automotive field for a few years, and we're always learning. These forums are very good for helping with problems with our vehicles.

Has anyone had a problem with a 2017 Citroen Berlingo K9, parking assistance fault (B1229)? I've already checked the fuses, wiring, and sensors, and I'm...

Went to view a Grand C4P today and captured two videos of idling, one cold and the other hot. From the noise do you think there's anything to worry about?
Also the lower part of turbo (compressor side) looks oily but certainly no dripping anywhere. Is that normal for these engines? The car has done nearly 90k, no cambelt changed so far.
Cold idle:...

Hello everyone. Had the C5 for 12 trouble free years until last week!! Unlocking the doors now sets the flashers blinking rapidly in a sequence of approximately 6 flashes then a gap then 6 flashes and a gap repeatedly until the car goes into economy mode. Same thing happens when exiting the car and locking with fob. Took it to main dealers and...

Hello everyone !

I have recently got the remote access key from my xsara 2003 stolen. I wanted to make a replacement remote but apparently it's not all that simple, and two car locksmiths told me that without the original remote it was impossible to find the signal for the key-less entry receiver.
A friend suggested me to just replace the...

We have just purchased a used 2024 C5 X … 1st registered January 2025…. And since it doesn’t have a cd player … like our old C5 tourer… can I use my classic iPod? However the usb socket in the front of the car is not compatible… it is a type 3 usb and my iPod lead ends in a type 1 usb. Can I use an adapter?. Or should I buy a new cable or even a...

Hello all,
I'm having a 'mare with my Citroen Relay and would hugely appreciate your thoughts. I'm in France and working through this with my local Citroen dealer, who we've know for 30 years.

I've searched this forum but can't seem to see this issue anywhere.

In my Citroen C5 X7 Tourer manual. It drives superbly at what I'd say are town speeds (up to 40).

At 55-70 it vibrates like a sh!tting dog unless the revs are above 2k. Its not labouring as such, just normal gear changes at just under 2k revs. When I get to say 75 it stops. The...

Hi Guys, fairly inexperienced when it comes to cars/vans, just wondered if anyone has had an issue with back lights not working in the winter months?
My break lights work, my fog lights work and my indicators work.
its just the back lights, it says running lights issue and my back lights turn off. (i then have to drive round with my fog lights...
