Difference between Picasso II 1.6 and 2.0 Adblue systems

Unread post by WillyR »

Good day all,

My (July 2015) C4 Grand Picasso II 2.0 Bluehdi 150 EAT6 Excl. has finally thrown all its adblue toys out of its tank at 82k, and is showing the dreaded P20E38 pump failure. I don't have the time to follow Stuart's brilliant home repair on his, which he has documented elsewhere in this forum, and my bank manager has threatened me with far more than just hurty words if I take it to the garage and pay their Managing Director's mortgage for the next three months to get it fixed.

I have an opportunity to pick up a remanufactured unit on EBAY for a much more reasonable price with a 2 year warranty. The worrying bit is that it is advertised as being for the 1.6 diesel. I checked my Tank part number - 9813676080 - which is the same part number as their 1.6 tank.

Can anyone tell me if the two engines use the same Adblue unit, please? And is there anything that might preclude my use of this (advertised as) 1.6 unit?

Thanks in advance
WillyR

AFAIK they are the same. There are different iterations of the part number as time passed but that had nothing to do with type of diesel engine fitted.

Fit it with confidence.
