Hi, Does anyone know if I need to register a new battery in a C4 Grand Picasso 2016 so that it is charged correctly? I believe this is called BMS Reset. If so, can it be done without an expensive device & how? Or does anyone know of a reasonably cheap device that will do the job? I have a Xtools Anyscan A30M, and although I have seen videos where it shows a BMS reset feature, it does not appear in the software when I run it.
Any help greatly appreciated.

No, only if you are changing the capacity / type. If replacing with an original like for like battery (as in the same specifications), then you just need to follow the BSI Reset / Battery Disconnect / Reconnect Procedure before disconnecting the old and replacing the new battery. Then ideally leave the vehicle overnight without using it so that the battery charge status unit can calibrate and monitor the new battery. Your climate control may need some time to adjust too, as this will also re-calibrate itself.
