Hey guys
Bought a 2005 Citroen c8 2.0 HDI with RHT engine. It has 81k miles on clock and it was driving really well until it started to run rough and decrease power when taking off from junctions etc. there was no engine light so I just thought maybe bad diesel so I removed the tank and drained the diesel and changed the fuel filter as the symptoms were exactly like bad fuel. still no joy. I plugged in the obd and it read code “0107”. Took out air flow meter and cleaned it all was fine replaced MAP sensor still no joy and checked all wiring, pipes and boost hoses etc nothing. All I could find is a damaged gasket and very bad blow out from the DPF. It’s one of those weird DPFs that can be split in half and it is blowing out at the joint. Would this cause the car to idle rough (sometimes) and lose power? Thanks guys

Re: Citroen c8 annoyance
I don't know about your specific car but generally any leaks in the exhaust system before the downstream oxygen sensor can cause incorrect readings to the ECU and hence incorrect fuelling. I would suggest the way to go is fix that leak and then test it and if still playing up a full diagnostic scan is the way to go.
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!

Many thanks for your reply. Will fix the exhaust leak and see if it makes a difference.
