Citroen C3 occasional knocking while reversing

My 2019 Citroen C3 is knocking occasionally especially when reversing. Very occasionally when turning. Any help / advice much appreciated. Thanks.

Possibly a worn track rod end or inner steering joint, maybe a suspension ball joint or a fair number of other possibilities. It really needs jacking up each wheel and looking for movement in the joints.

Check the exhaust hanging brackets, these rust off the exhaust and can give a knocking noise. Citroen will want to sell a new exhaust or weld it back but a cheaper option is to fit clamp on repair brackets, these are available from Autodoc. I have replaced them on a C3 and a Cactus and are easy to fit. Before looking under the car, you can hold the tail pipe and push the exhaust about to see if you get any noise.
