Re the 407 door seal issue and airbag warnings, after a few days of rain and testing with the hose, I gave up as water was still pooling on top of the bottom door seal and then running inside the car.

My solution was to put a few holes thru the seal with a leather hole punch tool which seems to allow the water to exit (the door seal gets squashed...

4x4s have rotten tyres, a high CofG and poor brakes. They feel like a car from within, though so people drive them that way. So they get hurt. Nature's way of weedingout the stupid, I guess.

Well that's good someone wants to get rid of a 4 X 4, and get something else more sensible, practical, and economical. He wants to get an Xantia. He also states that his wife is scared of the 4 X 4.

No it won't, the Â£46.00 car is still cheaper, as this car has now gone past that amount, but it's still a cheap car, as long as the buyer can do the work, and get the bits from G.S. & F

Great, however they actually refunded the RFL in December when I declared SORN. What a bunch of inefficeint wasters...

Its worth a look if you don't have to travel far!!! At least it's supposedly got a V5.
I notice its test runs out in May: he's probably looking at spending too much money to get it through another- the lost LHM is not a good sign as its of an age when unless the pipes have been changed they will ALL be close to being rusted through-the car's too...

Nice, i'm suprised its the 2.1td though, i'd have thought that would have been a bit heavy for the activa,
I think the reason we didnt get the rhd activa diesels was something to do with the rams getting in the way of the pedals during the conversion to rhd

I was in a Xantia 2.1 at the weekend as a terrified passenger. It was a combination of non-diesel knowledge driver (you don't need to do 60mph in third! This just came over the news. This one was no big drama but the aftershocks might be another story

Getting a bit rough; we had a small one where I live just prior to the big ones that caused all the problems. It's a bugger when you're sober and the Earth moves under your feet....and you're not even walking.

There's some gems on Ebay! Have you seen the BX Turbo diesel estate? He has to deliberately stall it to stop the engine and doesn't think the turbo works. Buy now at £450!

Think they have gone too dealer like......
Workmate was told he needed discs and pads and brake fluid for his picasso when he had it serviced, When I had a look to price up the bits for him, Pads had about 3mm less than the new ones (from GSF) discs were less than half a millimeter warn (checked with micrometer) and the fluid was a lovely pale...

try this the top one although no mot looks in good condition and should be easy to be made roadworthy especially as it has a buy now of £1500 which should leave £1500 for any repairs that are nessesary

I'm Ok then, both of my Citroen chassis numbers begin VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff], so both made in France!

male 29 manager 1998 Activa 3 convictions all in10 from 4 years ago paying £750 ish living in nuneaton car on street but I did just try another company and they quoted me £600 I think it was quoteline direct they seem very cheap.

So, something else to line someone's pockets at the expense of those of us who own, but don't necessarily use, more than one car.
It certainly won't affect the people it's supposed to target - they'll just be even less likely to actually register their cars than they are now...
Maybe the insurance companies ought to get their money-grabbing house...
