I don't think it's the lower part of the engine, it's the low mileage. He would pay attention to the injection parameters - air intake, temperature, amount of fuel, nozzle flow correction. The vehicle should not be used until a fault is detected to avoid major damage.

I've been looking at Nissan Notes for a while now, thinking of getting a smaller car, their 1.5 Dci seems to have some huge mileages so I can't see it being all that unreliable.

Hi i have a GS MK3 Privledge and i need to locate the headlight beam manual adjustment screws. I have found one but this only moves the main beam but need the dipped beam adjusting. I have just put LEDs in the dipped and currently they are skywards. Any help please TIA

Speaking generally, adjustment of the headlamps does both main and dip at the same time. It's not possible to do one without the other. It's either a problem with the bulbs not being seated correctly in the housing or the bulbs themselves have been badly made.

I have LED H7s in our 308 and didn't do any realigning. What make are your LED bulbs?...

Can anyone advise on the location of the crankcase breather valve (PCV) on a MK3 Clio 1.5 dci??

I've had a new rocker cover gasket fitted, new camshaft seal too, with timing belt and water pump. Car is now throwing out shed loads of blue smoke??? There's even oil in the exhaust. Put finger in the exhaust and finger was covered in oil??

Not driven for 2 days as driving fine before

Did start this morning with loads of bleeps and Brake fault message in dash, but had to turn it off to nip inside.
Back within 30 secs, but won't turn over, won't click....dash lights all come on and go off, except AbS, EML and the BRAKE FAULT message.

Hope someone can help. Purchased 2 new Kilen front coil springs for the above Scenic (106 hp). but they do not seem to fit the strut. The lower pig ear end lifts from it's stop when I try to move the damper strut into the top mount and the whole assembly seems to be at a weird angle. Normal crank; the red Immo-light stays plinkig, but when I press remote control down and then turn key, it works fine. It cranks and engine fires.

Well, another key that wasn’t coded in the car. Coded after Tantalum replacement.
The ESR was 3.2. Now it's 1.6. No more flashing light.
The second key, which works with the button down, was not corrected by the tantalum replacement, i.e. the button must still be pressed down.

Could possibly be a blockage in the pick up pipe/filter in the tank. If you have access to a compressor try blowing air back down the feed pipe to the tank, if it is obstructed that should temporarily relieve it.

The Car is an Espace Mk2 Petrol.

Problem is the Main Beam Headlights.

Checked the Steering Column Switch which operates the Lights.

Tested for continuity - all seems well with the Switch - from Power in Pin to each of the 3 Pins in the Output Plug = Side Lights - Dipped Lights - Head Lights

I have a 2011 Renault Modus 1.5d with the K9K engine.

In the mornings it takes a fair bit of churning over before it starts, about 25 or so seconds before it is running.

First thing i did was replace the glow plugs which made no difference.

Does anyone know how to reset the service light on my Megane 1V 2017.? I have the viecar VC309 but it doesn't seem to have the facility to reset.

My 2014 1.5dci Kangoo Maxi won't start (turns over no fuel at the fuel filter in the engine bay)

It had a ride on recovery wagon the other day & was brought back home

It would appear the pick up pump has failed?

Does any one know the following ?

a.) Location of pump fuse?
b.) Location of pump relay?
c.) Does the fuel tank remove from...

the old wreck is running again,

fuel pump had failed every thing else trying to avoid dropping the tank was a waste of time & effort

the main fuse box is krypton factor to take apart & put together

ECP don't stock a pump,

The reg plate was checked before ordering & £90 Bosch pump promptly came in the post, inlet & out where in the wrong places...

I've a 64 plate kangoo with duff blue tooth

if I have to get my wallet out, I was thinking that I really miss the satnav of my old van

How hard would be to retro fit a kangoo stanav head unit & screen ?

I'm guessing it could be plug & play, but probably needs a satnav ariel ?

I purchased an identical type of radio from Ebay, (from a citan)

It arrived with the metal work all bashed about but I was surprised that is all worked so I tidied it up & fitted it in the dash.

However I now have a 16 plate kangoo with an R-Link DAB / Sat Nav radio & are going to do a test fit into the earlier van to see whats involved

Headgasket questions

It's a 1.9 Nissan primastar

My new headgasket appears to be 3 pieces of metal, I would have thought they would all be sealed together but they are clear gaps in most areas, is this normal? Obviously when it's all tightened up they won't be there but I don't want to fit it if it's defective.

Also does it matter what side goes on the block/head?...

Investigating glow plug issues - 2008 Renault Grand Scenic - 1.9

Hello, I have a 2008 1.9 Grand Scenic and the service light came on.
The error codes suggest it's a glow plug issue.
I've already changed the glow plugs but issue persists.

My plan is to
1. check the glow plugs fuse (I know I should have done that first - blush) but not sure where it is located.
2. if that doesn't work attempt to replace the glow...

Trying to figure out if they blooming thing has a DPF or not, I can't really see under atm.
But did this version even come with a DPF?
Was looking at TRIPLE QX Fully Synthetic (Low Saps C3) Engine Oil - 5W-30 to service with but obviously not needed if no DPF.

Megane 2 Door mirrors not working

Hi.
I have this evening collected my mew runaround, a 2006 1.5dci Megane. Neither door mirror will adjust electrically. I have read that there is no common fuse, so does anyone know of a common problem with these cars that may cause this? I dont know if this would be connected, but one rear door window doesnt work from either switch.

Does anybody know where the selector switch is for the display in the instrument panel as when I put it in drive the square indicator that shows on the dash does not illuminate in drive anymore.

Was intermittent but now stopped. It is ok in all the other positions?

heated seats

New to the forum - good evening.
I have a 2016 scenic 3 edc diesel bose edition. Fine car but no heated seats. Spoke to my main dealer who advised retro fit not possible because of foam padding on standard seats (similcuir and tep) being unsuitable for heated seat pads. This seems odd to me, anybody had any experience in this area please?
