French Car Forum

Hi, as you can see the pipe has a re enforced plastic around part of it which could be warmed gently twisted or manipulated to fit or taken off again with I bit heat.
Just let me know if you could use it. I don't want paying just a donation to the forum would surfice.

It was for a 1.9 xzantia diesal engine breather, part nos are faint but it was...

Great stuff, I do like the car with that proper car feel to it , and the comfort of the older ones is great too

Thank You

Could I please have the fuse and relay diagrams for this model. Being a 2l they seem like they have used various layouts from other models but it all seems different.
Kind regards

If you post a picture of your broken ones I'm sure someone will be able to help out. How to post pictures is in the link below: :)

Thanks, we have an update! I got an idea to check things while the engine was *running*. Due to the fact somebody most likely replaced the original hoses around the pump with transparent ones (there's and older thread here I could not directly tell if they are transparent or not :D), I could clearly see it's been pulling a LOT of air through the...

I don’t think that one fits. I just can’t find one that does.

After replacing the MAF sensor did you reset the BSi according to the procedure in the link below? :)

So basically change the thermostat and everything is okay?

No they say that a new thermostat will likely start to leak as well because the pressure leak from the head is still there to blow it open.

No Stop-Leak product will stop a pressure leak from the cylinders.....however, I am very surprised that the pressure in the cooling system is...

Yes, checked that. Also tried turning it off for a journey snd then back on with no change. I also turned the lane departure warning on and that’s also not working; no idea if it worked before as never wanted it on. With no dash warnings I assume it’s the camera not being able to see through the screen.

Fair comment. There is a lot to learn before taking the plunge. I'm not just worrying about wasting €250 for the kit, but if it all goes belly-up and damages the engine I will be unable to deal with the rebuild.

OK the saga in full.
I bought an new iCarsoft CR Pro + which has served me well in the past. I struggled getting it to scan as a Expert 3 and a mail to the manufacturers with all the details had a reply of it should work.
A second go using a profile of Expert 0 got success. It showed an emissions sensor failure, hinting at Adblue level detection....

I had that idea too, I'd have to pull it off and see. Though with that being said, if it's anything like the knob on my previous manual it'll need the jaws of life. I don't want to put repeated unnecessary strain on the mechanism. I'll see if I can find any videos that show the mount in detail.

Update:
Once I got the door card off (without damage) I waded through several more Youtube vids and various nuggets of advice I finally got enough information to tackle the problem. I managed to get the new door handle fitted and working properly. The window now drops to clear the top seal at the first touch of the handle. Two final comments. (1)...

VIN NO: vr3**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]

There seems to be a fairly large range of seals for your engine so I would suggest the best way would be to measure the external diameter of the sump plug which equates to the internal diameter of the seal and go from there. I have found XUD7 seals ranging from 14mm to 22.4mm with a number of options in between, have a look at: to see what I mean!...

300 plus miles since and everything seems as it should be .

Excellent :-D May it continue to be so [-o<

There is a list of recommended garages in the members area at:

A browse through may find a place close to you. Good luck :)

The thread is over 20 years old and neither poster has been back to FCF since then. In addition the site linked to no longer exists. Have a look at the Wayback Machine's record of the site.

Hi,

Brand new to forum - New to Peugeot too!
I have downloaded the appstore, but I cannot install it on my Android phone, any other way to get FAP ELM OBD ?

Cheers

Thanks guys it was water pump bearing and the other tensioner

it may be possible to obtain the factory build information from the VIN, particularly since the 3008 is currently unregistered. A VIN lookup can sometimes provide the production details, engine, trim, colours and factory-fitted equipment, although the amount of information available varies by manufacturer.

You can try entering the VIN here to see...

This topic on cleaning the dpf on a Nemo might help. To clean the dpf properly it needs removing.

Today I installed a new battery. I also replaced the relay and the relevant fuses. The BSI was configured for a 42 Ah battery, but the new battery is 64 Ah, so I changed the battery setting to 64 Ah using Diagbox.

With the engine running, the BSI shows around 14.9 V and the electric power steering ECU shows around 14.0 V. However, the ABS/ESP ECU...

Check your PM. Usual conditions, use at own risk, etc.

Thanks Paul-R but the pads were not worn and were not replaced so no reset would be needed? Yes but the point is that if you need to use a diagnostic machine for a pad change then it's probable you'd need it for anything to do with the handbrake.

I thought you adjusted the piston position by rotating it. One thing they tell you that you...

Nah, people have seen the Loch Ness monster.

I can offer some info which may help. I worked in electronics design so to a degree wiring and connectors are a known field. I have a pair of 206 GTis (S16, je crois sur le continent). I had this exact problem with airbag lights appearing on the dash. I tried everything to identify the fault with PP2000 for weeks to no avail. The reported fault...

First make sure the throttle flap is shut.
Then try the throttle position sensor. Like the one above. It’s on the throttle body throttle flap end.
Not every model has one like that.
They will have a stepper motor like this. Naturaly clean out the throttle body and flap with carb’ cleaner.

That's brilliant, thank you! I will take a look and...

Definitely with you on that Jim

I definitely noticed the spots you mentioned, but I don't think they're cuts - I thought they were fibres winding through the friction material. Might be mistaken on that, but at this point I unfortunately have to get the car mobile somehow (since it's blocking in another car that I need to work on!), so I'm going to try my luck with it. Fingers...

What system do you have? Is this for the 2013 308SW in your profile? So it will be a Mk2?

A read through this thread should answer your question: :)

You could try the normal removal method as shown in this video where there is a torx socket, but hammer an oversize torx or Hex bit into the end of the shaft. However hopefully someone who knows the correct procedure will offer some advice. :)

What engine is it ?

Yes. Managed to remove the phone and then add it again. All to no avail.

Hey!
I am having this exact same problem with the exact same car model as you as the moment.
I am in the process of swapping my locking mechanism that had a rusted shut spindle, and i noticed that the micro switch doesn't unlock my window.
I'm kind of a rookie with these things, do you possibly have a more clear picture of the cable management,...

does anyone have ECU and wiring schematic diagram, just to test and rule out a issues to do with continuity, values etc

Is this just letting us know the cost to fix P2074 or are you asking for advice ? If the latter you need to provide your car details.

In the Haynes manual for the C4 with the vti engine it says to lock the timing/cam shafts before removing the tensioner but that is as part of replacing the timing chain.
How many km has the car done as timing chain wear is common on the vti engines, our C3 needed one at about 80k km.

A search found a possibly relevant topic for checking chain...

More an observation rather than an answer. I don't see how simply inserting the wrong key would cause a problem as it would have a blade that's cut differently and so you wouldn't be able to turn it.

The problem for the no-start was a dodgy starter. The starting logic was perfect all the way through to the starter solenoid trigger wire. Turns...

Yes you missed a vital bit in the introduction paragraph: I need to know the RPO which is on the tyre pressure sticker (5 digit number around the 11190 range) on the door pillar :If you are not sure just post a picture of the sticker. Instructions for posting images are at:

The first thing to try is a BSI reset.

I did try that several times, thanks, but unfortunately, no luck. It won't react to sidelights switching while performing a BSI reset

Ive got a 3008 Hdi sport auto, 2010 reg.
I have a shudder when taking off in 1st gear, after that it runs fine . It’s strange it doesn’t happen all the time.
However on using the Topdon diagnostic machine it’s showing a slip in placing it in auto/1st gear .

This sounds did costly , I think probably a new clutch, I’ve heard this is a big job to...

There are set of 2 seals different diameters. One of them I found in is CORTECO 49491912, another one is CORTECO 01034077B.

Which engine variant?
