Buy the new springs and get compressors that open up enough to fit them. 3 of them can make it easier when you fit the new spring to the strut off the car. If you do not want to buy them, you could take the struts and springs to your nearest garage and ask them to put them together. They might have a hydraulic compressor which makes it very quick...

Sadly that doesn't tell the whole story. Looking at Servicebox it seems they either used part number 5405.61 (until ORGA 8588) or 5405.65 (8589 until 9428). Are they interchangeable? Currently working on similar problem as Engine picture appears on the dash board followed by DPF message: risk particle filter clogging, and SERVICE lamp is on.

There is no error code that I can provide as dont have any diagnostic tool.

I was looking at those ones but they looks like they have the same sort of protrusion as the 508 one (I don't think a 4mm saving will be enough) but also nowhere to zip tie the gaiter. I'd rather not spend any more money on another failed experiment.

Yes, checked that. Also tried turning it off for a journey snd then back on with no change. I also turned the lane departure warning on and that’s also not working; no idea if it worked before as never wanted it on. With no dash warnings I assume it’s the camera not being able to see through the screen.

Fair comment. There is a lot to learn before taking the plunge. I'm not just worrying about wasting €250 for the kit, but if it all goes belly-up and damages the engine I will be unable to deal with the rebuild.

OK the saga in full.
I bought an new iCarsoft CR Pro + which has served me well in the past. I struggled getting it to scan as a Expert 3 and a mail to the manufacturers with all the details had a reply of it should work.
A second go using a profile of Expert 0 got success. It showed an emissions sensor failure, hinting at Adblue level detection....

Once I got the door card off (without damage) I waded through several more Youtube vids and various nuggets of advice I finally got enough information to tackle the problem. I managed to get the new door handle fitted and working properly. The window now drops to clear the top seal at the first touch of the handle. Two final comments. (1)...

There seems to be a fairly large range of seals for your engine so I would suggest the best way would be to measure the external diameter of the sump plug which equates to the internal diameter of the seal and go from there. I have found XUD7 seals ranging from 14mm to 22.4mm with a number of options in between, have a look at: to see what I mean!...

it may be possible to obtain the factory build information from the VIN, particularly since the 3008 is currently unregistered. A VIN lookup can sometimes provide the production details, engine, trim, colours and factory-fitted equipment, although the amount of information available varies by manufacturer.

First make sure the throttle flap is shut.
Then try the throttle position sensor. Like the one above. It’s on the throttle body throttle flap end.
Not every model has one like that.
They will have a stepper motor like this. Naturaly clean out the throttle body and flap with carb’ cleaner.
