Thing is, these are meant to be the good ones. If I go back to bulbs I will need to also buy a pair of the full bulb holder assembly too because the original ones were totally wrecked. I might just turn off the auto lights because I'll not forget to put them on now that it's dark

My guess is that you get nothing from pin 9 of the BSM (when the car refuses to start). But then again, I shouldn't preempt your results.

Bought a used head which I took the cams and hydraulic lifters from and put in my engine.
Couldn’t see any differences in my cams or the others and it didn’t make any difference.
Same slow car.

I’m short from ideas.. But..
one thing I have noticed is that someone has made a mark on the belt pulley probably when the belt has been changed...

No problems getting injectors out this time.
Turbo will be replaced.
The only actual damage visible so far are the 1 and 3 big end journals.
Massive clean-up needed - I have access to a large ultrasonic bath.
The main issue is going to be the availability of undersized bearings or getting the journals built up.

Isn't there a pre filter in the tank?

It is possible you've hit something that knocked the tank, something has jarred loose and is caught up in the feed to the engine (pump), making it suck hard enough to cause...

I don't have a procedure for removing the fuel tank unfortunately.

You need to get it on the diagnostic computer - anti pollution is just the generic engine management light, could be anything causing it.

If anyone can confirm which oil is cirrect this is the VIN (VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]).
I also must add that the gearbox has been changed for a new one about 100 000 kms ago.

People, check the earth cable on the gearbox end. You can see this by just looking through the gap between battery and engine. It’s attached to the back of the engine and can be accessible from the passenger side jacked up or by moving the module next to the battery out the way to gain more access. 13mm bolt.

No, on some models they have an air conditioned glove box. It's to keep drinks and things cool. It should have a cover that allows it to be closed or opened. The glovebox light (if fitted) is a separate unit.

It's about £5-6 so won't break the bank - just order one from your Citroen dealer.

Problem solved - cause was stupidity. In my first attempt to see if any fuses had blown for cigarette lighter area coffee incident I must have put fuses back in wrong positions.

I now know which fuse controls fuel cap 5a and which does the climate control 10a on that single vertical strip on right hand side.

Thanks for the reply. Both bulbs were working when I set off, so I'm certain it's one wasn't out.

I'll check tomorrow if both of the bulbs have gone, what's the chances of that happening?

Hey! It turned out to be the upper ball joint on the right side. Couldn't get any play out of it as it seemed but the movement of the lower bearing (up and down) showed that the upper joint was worn. It gradually got worse so I ordered the specific tool for the ball joint and the replacement wasn't that difficult. No noise!

Yes, these seats are full of bits and owners with failed heated seat cushions also had this issue. They don't provide replacement heat pads in parts, and the leather seats are bonded in some places making it harder still.

Its a am6 gearbox.
If I understand it correctly the faulty code p2728 is pointing to valve slc3 .

I think I found the problem , the correction on injector 2 is very high negative and don't show it like more then -6 , i change the injector 3 times and is the same , what can cause very high negative correction with any injector, i made a compression test on all 4 and is 25 bars +- 1 2 bars difference between them.

You will probably find that the click is timed rather than you doing anything, next time it happens dont touch the fusebox & it will probably still do it.
The principle (or main relay as its more commonly known) is integral to the main under bonnet fusebox.

Do you do your own mechanical work, or do you put it to a garage? There is a repair procedure to overhaul the rear firmness regulator that a C6 owner, CruiserPhil / PhilC as he was known in BX circles came up with that I can send you a link to, but this isn't a guaranteed fix.

Update: I tried to remove the door card with the door shut but failed. However, after removal of all screws I can reach the steel rod through the gap between door card and door, by pulling the rod the door was finally opened.

My 2003 2.0 hdi estate is having the same problem on driver's door. Not possible to open it from either side. Tried...

The little red beast now lives.. Turns out after much head scratching and debating with my garage and auto electrical bloke, turns out the starter fitted was wrong and failed, I think one of you did mention the starter, good job... It starts on the key first time, everytime, yeepee.... The only problem left to sort out now is the stop...

Information for the X7 doesn't seem to be readily available I can only go by the data sheet DSC stuff you mentioned it's an ethylene glycol mix which is more or less the same. I just discovered there is a dealership beside the job. So I may just grab what ever stuff they're selling.

Hello, I was reviewing the diagram, and power supply pin 5 (+) does not exist in the branch, but it does exist in the ecu, in the same way pins 19 and 22 (can lines) are not in that position of the branch.

I really love this car, enoug to have after purchase changed motor, two turbines and DPF filter. So I gonna give that car up. It wasn't smart decision to change all sensors, only the one that was failing. But it's too late

Oh alright Thanks Wheeler. I just didn't remember it doing that on my old MK 1 C5 but that was 5 or six years ago. I noticed it wouldn't auto detect either and didn't work on manual entry of VIN either , She is going into economy mode a lot too, so I think she needs a battery, Haven't had time to test it yet. The usb cable is damaged do you know...

First thing to do is get a proper Diagnostic with a Lexia / Diagbox. Could be the BSI, Engine Fusebox or Control Module under the steering wheel, or none of the above - so if you can get it diagnosed, pop the codes up here so we can get some indication.

Turns out the cheeky b%stards fitted the wrong cylinder and cable tied the old one out of the way with the cables still attached. Main dealer found it. Stern words with local garage needed.

Bunch of cowboys. I'd say VOSA or trading standards might be interested.

Take some photos and go back for a refund, if you haven't done so already.

It makes sense but I'm not sure it is right. Although the light units are obviously sided I doubt the plugs are. Certainly on my c4 both units had the same plugs so worth a look!
