Help regarding front shock & spring change c3 picasso.

The cup that sits on top of the coil spring under the top mount , is there meant to be a washer if so what's the part number for it ?

Looks like something missing to me , why is it when parts are purchased parts are missing ? ? ?

Displacement Limiter, part: 503389 ? Not sure if this fits I feel it might

Have you dismantled the old strut, what parts did that have? It doesn't look quite right somewhere.

No , old one still on the car . I've the shock ,the spring , the cup , top mount , locking nut , top washer and nut (under bonnet). It's missing a washer called displacement Limiter also known as vibration Limiter, it's a thick round washer that sits under the mount & on top of the spring cup. I wanted to build the complete leg then take the old out & whip the new one in , but ? Looks like ive got to now disemble the old one for this part .

All done I took the one off on the car . Undo the following
Wheel off car up on stands
Undo top drop link pop out of housing
Undo pinch bolt to hub & shock
Undo but don't remove shock top nut
Undo hub nut
Remove complete brake caliper
Remove abs sensor
Undo lower ball joint pinch bolt & Remove
Pry bar the lower wish bone with a good yank once off
Tap out drive shaft then wiggle and tap out the strut
Undo shock,strut top nut while holding it then Remove from car.

My my... top mount was shot to bits ,
The spring was fine , the shock wasn't to bad but I put a new one one with a new top mount cup and used that big washer thing with new bump stop and dust cover took me on my own from 1.30pm to 4.20pm .. not bad for an old git with a failing hip lol

Was hard work, but nice knowing it's done. The peugeot 308cc set up is way more easy than the picasso. I'd rather tackle them any day. I put the strut into the hub off the car then offered it back in with wiggle jiggle and pokery push a pull and a bang it all sort of fell into place
