Xantia 1.9td i have just changed a failing battery for a good used one . which the guy showed me was showing 12.3 volts .
the car has been starting like a hero for the first week , but now occasionally when i turn the ignition there is nothing , not even a click

Earlier on I took this Bosch injection pump lid off to reveal a slight rust deposits on a lot of the surfaces. The car it came from had been standing for a year or three. It's in bits as the seals need replacing due to air ingress.

Is it perfectly normal/okay to leave or should I do something about it?

If so, what should I do to get rid of it...

Cut the gap out of the lower shroud amd put it in.

Fired up Lexia, and went into the BSi and Made Cruise and Speed Limiter Present and hey presto and display on the speedo showed it up.

The reviews are not that great on the Exclusive C3 here in Australia saying it is expensive and the automatic is dated in it plus some other negatives on no feel steering and hard ride. Well its time to do the head gasket on my trusty stead (1998 dispatch van)
Firstly the glow plugs went down one by one and then the head gasket decides to give up.
Decided to get another engine to put straight in so I'm not without the van, the engine out of the van with only 100,000 on the clock is worth skimming decoking and putting back...

Having been forced onto the kerb last year, my front nearside alloy took a pasting. Several deep scores around the outside edge of the rim, and a 3-4 inch flat spot where the rim caught the kerb edge.
The tyre was gouged but still legal and safe. I'm thinking of getting it refurbed but there seems to be a huge different in costs from firm to firm....

Hi, our Xantia TD (1995 non-AC) has very little heat coming out of the windscreen vents. If you set it for the windscreen you can get hot air out of the facia vents just luke warm on the screen.The cables all seem to be operating I`m just wondering if perhaps the flap for the screen isn`t opening fully, typically its the only one I can`t see.
