Given the number of 'After-sales campaign' notices concerning Takarta Airbags I have been made aware of when looking up parts from PSA for members, I thought I would post a link to the following documentary that may be informative concerning the issue with these igniters.

According to Takata, the chemicals in the airbags’ explosive charge can...

Disruption to Parts Service

This has caused some problems for organisations like ours and the Team are currently looking at the best way forward. This...

Although to enable a rider to see so much more around them is a great safety benefit.

5 litre purchase swizz

by vanny » 23 Jan 2005, 22:18

cos when your running a fleet of turcks and the fuel bill is for millions of litres then theres a rather large difference in cost between 80ppl and 81ppl! And it gives boring people something to do 'Oh look the Esso is only 80.8, i'll go there instead of the local shell at 80.9'

In another topic I asked what happens if you buy exactly 5 litres of fuel - well, I did and the answer is you get charged .5p more than value.

zx 16v vs vr6

by VisaGTi16v » 17 Jan 2005, 19:34

Probably not much in it. The vr6 has a bit more power but is heavier and automatic. It will be quicker higher up I expect where bhp counts more. However the golfs probably higher quality and specification etc...

diesel lost power?

by bxbodger » 15 Jan 2005, 21:56

Yes it does!! You will have water from condensation in the tank as well. Assuming everything else is o.k., no air leaks, etc, if it does start fill it to the brim with fresh diesel, then run it dry, and change the fuel filter as wall, before the next fill.

Last post

Just a general question, does diesel lose its power over time, kind of how petrol loses octane?
Got a car getting very difficult to start, engines just been rebuilt, pump timing is sound, as are glowplugs and injectors but the diesel has been sat in the tnk for near 4 months.

Forget hydractive, it would have to be ACTIVA! strapped onto the chasis of the CX, nice big base to stick a 3 litre V6 onto. Magic bend lights and DIRAVI a must! Can we add hydraulic everything (windows seats etc) we might never find them in the scrap yard, but Citroen did tinker with them.
I guess we could have automatic rain movers from a C5,...

The plan is to build an ideal car using parts from any of the French models covered in this Forum. You have to list the parts and why you are using them. E.g. Xantia Hydractive suspension for efficiency....etc. etc.
It doesn't matter if the parts are not really compatible. This is a fantasy model!

This link appeared on the bx16v website
its a guy who has put a 12v XM diesel into a BX. It's given me some brilliant ideas on sorting some of the niggles with my BX, but i'm never one to be out done when it comes to the diesel.
What is the 12v XM diesel lump based on, i assume its not too well...

My fridge is now 25 years old - it belonged to my parents before me, went to manchester with me and came back to Preston.
Its made by Pifco and is a lovely fetching institution green inside.
Edit
Forgot to say, has had a new seal to the door only. Still on its original motor. Looks quite cute too.

Well as you know the Xsara has now entered my personal record book for not breaking down or anything going wrong since last summer time . Any how the same can't be said for my blasted just 3 year old fridge. In the time I've had it it's had with in the first 12 months
1 new motor
1 new thermostat
1 new door
All under guarantee. Now in the past 14...

Air conditioning

by JohnD » 06 Jan 2005, 21:20

Although the aircon on my '98 Xantia coped well with 36C in Spain during September, last weekend it just couldn't shift the steam in the car during a downpour on the motorway. I decided to try a company mentioned on Honest John's site. He's mobile and centred around South London and Surrey areas. I had a visit from him this morning and over ninety...

Is there a Panda 4x4 1.3 Diesel yet?

Last post

.... I do rather fancy the new Fiat Panda 4x4.
It looks like I will be changing jobs in a couple of months - the advantage is my buisness milage will shoot up and I can get a crown car - so for about £70 a month all in I can have any small car...
Should it be a C2, should I go for a C3 Pluriel? Should I get a Mini 1?
Naaaaw... Im really tempted by...
