Given the number of 'After-sales campaign' notices concerning Takarta Airbags I have been made aware of when looking up parts from PSA for members, I thought I would post a link to the following documentary that may be informative concerning the issue with these igniters.

According to Takata, the chemicals in the airbags’ explosive charge can...

Disruption to Parts Service

As you may be aware, the consolidation of the old PSA to the Stellantis Group systems has resulted in both a merge of data tools and a requirement to migrate PSA accounts to Stellantis Systems.

This has caused some problems for organisations like ours and the Team are currently looking at the best way forward. This...

ACCIDENT DAMAGE, REPAIRABLE ! LIGHT FRONT DAMAGE

by dan.2cv » 14 Mar 2005, 17:55

First post

I like this:
it needs....a bumper(maybe)
hello? can you see that fu*king great crack in it?

Last post

Well, it makes a change to find one that requires accident repair work, instead of mechanical work.

It would seem the seller has another Xantia, probably this one's replacement.

COMPETENCE

First post

4x4s have rotten tyres, a high CofG and poor brakes. They feel like a car from within, though so people drive them that way. So they get hurt. Nature's way of weedingout the stupid, I guess.

Last post

Well that's good someone wants to get rid of a 4 X 4, and get something else more sensible, practical, and economical. He wants to get an Xantia. He also states that his wife is scared of the 4 X 4.
Here's the link:-

It seems too many have bought larger vehicles I.E. 4 X 4's.
With the way they are driven it's also very obvious that they are not...

LIGHT PRESSURE

by tonespeed1999 » 13 Mar 2005, 16:01

First post

we all know what car salesman are like!
most of them talk a load of B@ll@cks!!

Last post

The seller in this auction has described the car as a light pressure turbo.

Is this the correct description of a T.D. Xantia?

£5 Xantia project

by ACTIVE8 » 13 Mar 2005, 03:44

First post

Check out the thread Cheap as chips.
This is because it's the second Xantia, which is up for auction on ebay at around the same time, in the same area, from different sellers.
It seems St Albans is the place to pick up a cheap Xantia !

Last post

Nothing to do with me, but this looks like a very cheap project or source of parts for someone!

56 MPH

by ACTIVE8 » 13 Mar 2005, 01:51

First post

As for the number plate, it's more suited to a Porsche !

Last post

Yes I know this listing is for a Volvo, but please have a look anyway:-

The seller says that he has previously been stopped for speeding at 56mph on the motorway, and not in the T5, but in a Skoda !
DER ! WHAT ! 56mph on the motorway is not speeding !

"CHEAP AS CHIPS"

by ACTIVE8 » 12 Mar 2005, 23:39

First post

No it won't, the £46.00 car is still cheaper, as this car has now gone past that amount, but it's still a cheap car, as long as the buyer can do the work, and get the bits from G.S. & F

Last post

CHEAP AS CHIPS
Well this car certainly is !
Previously I have posted about an Xantia, and it went for only £46.00. As the auction is about to end on this car, it might even go for less !

CX IN ADVERT

by Stuart McB » 12 Mar 2005, 20:48

First post

Seen it. Thought it may have been a GS.

Last post

It seems the CX is the in car for film makers, video shoots, and adverts currently.
I posted previously about Natilie Imbruglia, using a CX in her video Shiver.
K-Swiss (it's a shoe) have used a CX in an advert, which is currently showing.

DVLA Idiots

by ACTIVE8 » 12 Mar 2005, 16:14

First post

Amazing they invent a new system, and then can't run it properly, why don't they declare that to us. ?
This just shows that organisations or companies, do not check through or experience what the people who use them do.
It's a great example of the left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing !
Apparently, the D.V.L.A. records are less than...

Last post

Just to make my day I have received a letter this morning from the DVLA telling me that I should have declared SORN on a car last January. As they allege I did not, I have been fined £107.50!
Great, however they actually refunded the RFL in December when I declared SORN. What a bunch of inefficeint wasters...
I'm now left having to write letters,...

by Stuart McB » 12 Mar 2005, 00:21

Do you have to take it to the main dealer for a clean up? That'll cost and arm and a leg.

Last post

I wonder if they do a BX,or a Dolly etc
