We often hear complaints that fuel prices rise quickly on oil price but fall slowly - and then much muttering about no data.... So, thought I would start tracking a fuel price index to see. I've taken the price of std UL and diesel at the local station I use (which is amongst the cheapest), stripped out the tax, then worked out an 'index' based on...

Although obviously not French the Prius shares something in bucket loads with Citroen; innovation. It is quite simply amazing and over time I'll put some details into this thread so you can see what it's like. :)

Looking to buy one of these used, but not sure as to which one the LG is 700w and Yamaha I think is 300w can't find exact info.
Anyone have either of the two and pass on some advice.

Thanks

Downloaded the Diagbox software 'again' this morning from easydiagnostics via their recommended Mega NZ download tool, just left it to do its thing while I got on with something else, got this message twice from Windows Defender.

Hi all,
Thinking of visiting the place next year, any pointers?
Also, I have heard from somewhere (but now I can't find/remember where) that it is scheduled to be closed (temporarily) and moved from its current location. If true, can anyone elaborate on this please?
Thanks in advance.

I just spotted a late xantia in white! (Yes I get a bit excited at the presence of lhm)

It was at Battlefield turning in to Sinclair drive.

Looked in quite good condition - anyone on here?

Hello All,

Neil complained no-one is talking rubbish in here, so I thought I'd ask if anyone as an Amazon Echo or a Google home smart device thingy, and if so, what do they think of it? I've been sorely tempted by such a thing for a while. A couple of friends have them, and they do appear to be genuinely useful for some things. I'm aware of the...

I found this on the Internet. 50 different car dashboards, and Citroen make numerous entries;

I have....it was white, a Mazda and an SUV :-D

What does that tell us :?:

Here are just some of the concept cars released this year, with some being plausible and will most likely make their way to the roads. With others being designers just flexing their muscles. Which one do you think is the best?

p.s I know there's more than these, but these are the main ones:D

I stumbled on a list of statistical tables issued by DVLA, link here:

As you go down the list you think oooh, that looks interesting . The...

Back in the early 70's, no deadlocks, no built in steering locks, door locks made of putty, quarter lights you could push open as long as you were stronger than a hamster and ignition a 5 year old could hot wire with a paperclip, steering wheel locks were essential in some places. I remember Krookloks, time consuming clumsy things hooked round...

Having another look to see if I could find my old Roller, came across this, some really strange stuff if you scroll down.

Hi Guy's
Just reading about the twin motor bmw i8 that has a three cylinder 1500cc engine in the back that has over 200bhp to offer , why has my 1600 cc e-hdi only give me 110 bhp ??? :rofl2:

Jaguar Land Rover bought a large collection from James Hull some time back, and are selling some of it on, with no reserve. Some of the vehicles are interesting;

Perhaps, according to The Independent .

Shares in Renault rose almost 5 per cent on Thursday following reports the French motor company is in talks with Nissan to explore a potential merger.

Well as I was buying an oil filter and some engine flush from Halfords I decided it was about time I bought myself a crawler to make it easier getting about under my car (getting older) so I purchased this set from Halfords plus an extra set of 3 tonne ratchet axles stands. Both for £69, thats with a trade discount of £46 so cant complain....

Our little unscientific thread Have you spottted an 18 Reg yet? has proved to be fairly prophetic.

SMMT have today released their new car sales for March 2018 and its 15% down on 12 months ago. Diesels down 40%.

Marshalls and Duxford Motors have both ceased to be Citroen sales dealers, but both said that they would continue as authorized Citroen service and repair agents. Duxford are, Marshalls are not as of today.

I went into Duxford to try and book an MOT/Service for 2 weeks hence and although they were as ever very helpful they simply can't fit it in...

Hi everyone, not a dig at all, as I’m a new member on here but having previously been a paid up member on RTOC for over 5 years which with the appearance of facefuck took a small dive but still kept it’s head above the water line.

There have been numerous posts regarding modern headlights, principally that they dazzle oncoming drivers.

The RAC has investigated and the Beeb have reported on it.

Bedazzled .

I haven't experienced any dangerous incidents but do agree that they are very disturbing and uncomfortable.

Also off topic, I'm trying to give away a 1950's Electric Sewing Machine, Cast Iron construction, contact me if of interest. Working but needs attention.

I took my car into a garage for a new clutch which I supplied, it was an luk clutch kit costing £106 (so not the cheapest) I drove my car there it was driving fine just a little squeak from the thrust bearing. Since the mechanic has changed it there are loads of different errors which I'm trying to sort in another post and it does not start...

There must be a few of us on here who subscribe to Car Mechanics mag? I was shocked and left speechless a couple of days ago when my 60th anniversary copy landed & the first thing I read is that Ted Connolly has passed away! :(

Having an affliction for noticing numbers, there are days when the OTCL is a bit ...slow. Today so far is one of them.

I did notice at an average of about 20 posts a day the OTCL moved from 61,000 to 62,000 posts.

I would say that there are plenty of standard topics which are pretty easy to contribute too, so I would encourage everyone to lob up...

I know even experienced Citroen main dealer parts agents have trouble so I don't feel such a numpty having difficulty.

It seems, either by car design or the fact I'm just getting older that my habit of dropping and losing fasteners (along with previous careless maintenance losing/breaking them) the need to source replacements is increasing.

Well thats the Xantia good for another year,
New ABS rings on the front.
New sensor drivers side rear.
New control arm passenger side front.
New track rod ends.
Bit of welding on the drivers side sill at the rear.
Nice new MOT.

Got myself in a bit of an ebay pickle

Short story: I need to print an ebay returns label from a laptop with no printer access. Is there any way to print to file (I'm sure there is), transport it via USB or SD and then successfully print from that file off another system? It's this latter part I'm most unsure about.

Long Story: In my mind, I...

Has just taken on a Suzuki franchise, I wonder if that means he's going to be less and less interested in the Citroens.

He's been a Citroen dealer for as long as I can remember.

The site is now emblazoned with Suzuki signage.
