Virus warning.
Downloaded the Diagbox software 'again' this morning from easydiagnostics via their recommended Mega NZ download tool, just left it to do its thing while I got on with something else, got this message twice from Windows Defender.

Re: Virus warning.
You’ll probably find it’s because the V8 software has a procedure to modify the V7 files in order to work and is being picked up a a threat.
Run it under a controlled VM if you need to test it Gibbo.

Re: Virus warning.
Defender dealt with it so not too much of a worry, I've passed the message on to easydiagnostics,
Also popped up in the notifications area this message:
AWRoot_v7_Conf+Ativation_v8.exe
Transfer failed: Write error

Response from ED.
Hello Eric
Mega downloader is normally a paid for application. Your av has picked up the patch file to allow it's use for free.

Re: Virus warning.
Had a further warning about this from Defender this morning.
Together with the two previous malware items there's a new one, a Trojan, also linked to the mega download app.
I've uninstalled the app.

Re: Virus warning.
I personally don’t bother with the app, as most decent browsers will resume an interrupted download. Not really needed unless you want to synch lots of uploads Gibbo.
