Nissault ?? Perhaps Renan ?
I tried to make an anagram of the two names but could only get as far as 'It's An Arse Lunn'.... which doesn't make any sense

How about "Inner Assault"? That uses all the letters of "Nissan" and "Renault". Mind you, I don't think either company would appreciate my effort!

'Earns An Insult' works. I'm sure there are many Renault and Nissan owners who've considered their cars earn an insult

Eh? This happened unofficially in 2000 when I was working for Renault in Harefield! That's why some of us got made redundant!

It would appear that, whilst they merged and/or formed an alliance in '99, they're now looking to become a single company.

Which will undoubtedly be Nissan! Of course there will be Renault badged vehicles for those markets, primarily parts of Europe, where it will mean they will sell more/better.

Where does Vauxhall stand in all this, all their vans are Renaults in disguise?

Re: Nissan & Renault to merge into one company
I'd expect the next generation of Vauxhall vans to be based on the PSA van range, rather than Renault, anyway?

Re: Nissan & Renault to merge into one company
There is more here in this article than anyone probably wants to know about the Renault/Nissan Alliance.
http://nissannews.com/media_storage/ima ... 017_gb.pdf
Nissan is the biggest in terms of global sales by a couple of million over Renault.

Re: Nissan & Renault to merge into one company
Appear to be lots more Renault stuff in Nissans than Nissan stuff in Renaults ?

Hence the merger - of the manufacturer & the parts supplier!

Assuming there is a next generation of Vauxhall vans, I mean, tradionally, VX isn't a van manufacturer (well not for a very long time). Meanwhile, we could end up with a similar situation to that in the US when MB bought Chrysler which was then marketing (what to us, were) Talbot vans as Dodges - so they stuck 3-pointed stars on them!

au contraire... Vauxhall's made vans for yonks (used to go under the Bedford name).
