Re the 407 door seal issue and airbag warnings, after a few days of rain and testing with the hose, I gave up as water was still pooling on top of the bottom door seal and then running inside the car.

My solution was to put a few holes thru the seal with a leather hole punch tool which seems to allow the water to exit (the door seal gets squashed...

Actually, subject should read “battery unchanging fault”. My Adblue 2016 2.0 litre Ds4 is again misbehaving with this screen message “battery fault, visit your local auto electrician asap, do not pass go……” or words to that effect.

Diagbox informs that the fault is 1624 73 which is short for “arrange an appointment with your local bank loans...

Hey guys!

Bit of a head scratcher. My service light comes on accompanied by an Engine Fault: Repair Needed message on the centre display. It only stay on for a few seconds, then it goes off for a few seconds and then comes back on for a few seconds. It does this continually until the car is switched off. Additionally, this cycle only starts once...

Oh well, guess I'll just to live without cooling from now on.... isn't that why windows were invented? Keep an eye out for Transit drivers in winter they always have there window open. As an old transit driver I can tell you it takes ages to warm it up, once it's warm don't ever turn it down or you'll freeze, the window is your temperature...

Got a 1503T2 for my 06 1.6 hdi C5 and totally wrong.
Phoned Citroen and they never heard of it but think it's a plug presence detect harness listed as same place on car from filler neck to top of tank. £125 !!!

2003 Relay 2.0hdi with MLUC gearbox, speedo not working (always showing zero). Sensor - working fine; wiring and instrument panel - working fine.
Sensor tested with a simple harness (LED+resistor to signal pin) and 12V supply as in the video. Instrument panel tested with this hand driven sensor and wife.
Now, I'm pretty sure it must be the drive...

My Xantia V6 is in need of some spheres, probably all 4 at the back and the hydractive centre sphere at the front.

Most of the spheres currently on the car were NOS genuine spheres fitted 6 years ago, but I suspect that they had sat on a shelf for 5+ years beforehand.

I have some play in my inner tie rods on my Citroën C5 Aircross. Do someone know the tightening torque for the inner tie rod on this car?

Is it also okay to use zip ties for the boot as there doesn't seem to be much room to use the crimping metal clips?

Hard to see with the boot in place. I know that other makes that have flat spots on the steering rack shaft place it on the drivers side of the rack. Luckily my driver's side is also the one which is the bad one. I'll update this post...

How do you disconnect the rear washer hose from the tailgate that goes throught thr large oval grommit.
I already have a replacement hose and have removed the grommit and felt inside and can feel the connection but cant seem to get it to a point that it could be diconnected.

Hi again! Been doing one of my routine strange noise eliminations on my 2004 2.0HdDi auto. Sorted the long standing exhaust rattle out which now allows me to notice a slight intermittent pinking sound from the engine when hot, under load at lowish revs. Also does this model have a swirl valve?

The rear ARB drop links (4) are only £74 inc. VAT for the part (4)...

..., but if it's the ARB bearings (10) on the second diagram, they are not replaceable and it will need a new ARB.

Nice easy (😱) one ...
1) Usual Suspension Faulty Max Speed 55MPH) message.
2) After ignoring it for a while it becomes obvious that the pump is not working as the car gradually gets lower and lower and the up/down buttons just cause further problems.

You obviously have a wiring issue, possibly a crack or break that is causing the intermittent behaviour, so as you are lifting it the wires are making contact and breaking the contact once lowering.

My van has been the subject of constant DPF problems, first the DPF light comes on then followed by the engine management light / limp mode.

Good Evening All

Just spent the last couple of days removing the front wheel hub in preparation for a new wheelbearing to pressed in.

During this my F/O/S drop link is seized fast into the pivot arm no amount of persuasion will move it.

Has anybody else had this problem ?

The shaft is not budging at all. I put this link on in April so I don't know what the problem is. I have fitted a few of these but never had a problem.

As title say since I bought this car in 2019 I always had issues with pumping diesel, as soon as I press the pump to the max it lock because the air doesn't flow away (my guess), I tried everything, different positions, different vendors but the problem persist, I think I managed once to pump for 20 seconds straight without the pump locking, I...

Maybe I'm overthinking this...

Just got a Gates Cambelt and Waterpump kit off Ebay for a song. £45 including postage instead of £80 from Autodoc.

Box has DKIT-11118 as a reference on it and I cannot find that anywhere online.

Opened it up and noticed that the tensioner pulley is a Gates T41139 found here:-

I have a problem with rear suspension on a Citroen C5 2003, 1.8 petrol.

There is an air leak in both left and right.

Parts are nearly impossible to find but I managed to find a shock absorber for (Cylinder, Sphere etc) for both left an right.

The only problem is that the left is for the same make model and year.. just the engine is a...

Hi. I have a 2007 Citroen C5 2.2 hdi. I have a parasitic drain which is draing the battery over night. I have checked the inside fuse box, and the 10 AMP fuse on the top row next to the HS fuse, when the car is put to sleep it registers 45 milliamps, does anybody know what the 10amp fuse supplies or have the wiring diagram for this?

It wasn't me having the issue I'm afraid. Have you measured the Amp draw from your battery?
Do you have any non original electrical equipment fitted to the car eg handsfree kit, reversing sensors, different radio?...

I've recently acquired a Auverland A3 Jeep (or JPX Montez in Brazil) it uses a XUD9 engine 66KW/90CV fitted with a BA7/5 transmission.

The engine is busted. Diesel injection pump needs service, oil leaks everywhere, bad turbo, bent intake valve and more problems to be found

I recently bought Citroen c5, 1.6 automatic 2015 and have few strange problems.

First is with air conditioner. It looks like it always blows full/fastest even if i turn the speed to zero what should switch off the air conditioner. A/c looks like to work fine and it blows hot and cold air....

I'm upgrading from halogen to LED DRL and would like to know what is factory behavior of LED strip.

After some messing around with diagbox current status is

DRL - LED strip @100%
sidelights - LED strip @50%
main beam - LED strip @50%

It's the four way BLACK connector with four black wires Roger, not the blue one ;)

If I knew where oil sensor was on ZX (sump presumably then I could load test the wire) and see if there is a resistance issue...

Hi my dispatch was due its pollution test it is a 2008 2.0 hdi (later shape) with common rail fuel injector, I put some injector cleaner in a tank of fuel and was driving it a little bit harder than I normally do to clean everything out. One of the injectors stopped working, I have had problems with it before but it was always a connection problem...

I viewed a 2013 picasso today and there seemed to be some oil leaks on the exhaust side of the turbo; the lower part of turbo and the waste gate actuator below are covered in oil/tar. Is this normal? Engine sounds sweet, smooth and quite.
