C5 brake, parking brake, abs, esp errors
Hello everyone, since 3 weeks my car is killing me with these errors. First starts with electric parking brake error, cannot deactivate it. Finnaly i did, and for a few days was ok. But after some time errors are back abs, esp, brake faulty. Was come and go errors, in the end remain permanent. Now doesn’t show car speed, parking sensors stop beep. Change brake fluid tank because the sensor on it was dead. For a wile I thought is ok but that was when the errors was intermittent, nothing. Found 2 fuses that really look bad, that white oxide on them, pins rotted. But after i clean and replace them nothing change. Lexia cannot communicate with the abs unit. Should i try with another abs module, could be that one? Sorry for the long post, and thank you for patience!

Check the battery voltage in case it is low which might cause odd electrical problems.

If fuses are corroded ,I would check all connections on ecus and clean them and have a look at wiring loom ,but before I did any of that I would definitely do full diagnostic with diagbox which will narrow everything down and save you chasing your tail

Thank you! Diagnostic shows error on almost every module, about missing information for vehicle speed. The abs module say no communication.Sould i try with a second hand abs? In case, this should be pair with the car?
The battery voltage is ok, 12,5-12,6V with engine not running

Was the original fault the electric handbrake ? What code did it show and what does diagbox say about the error code ?

Need all current codes generated on diagbox, and would check in engine ecu wether asr/esp/abs options are enabled, if not enable them otherwise you get communication faults and can't clear errors, don't know how or why they would become disabled but mine did and took me months of checking, chasing, testing parts before I went into engine ecu and found they were not enabled , couple of clicks and my esa/esr faults ,no comms all cleared.

Yes, first error was the handbrake, but right after i didn't put diagbox on. Now codes for FSE are:KennyW wrote: 01 Nov 2025, 13:16 Was the original fault the electric handbrake ? What code did it show and what does diagbox say about the error code ?

I suspect this is an electrical problem but where I don't know.
As suggested in earlier posts check all related wiring, connectors, fuses, modules etc, a pain but if one part of the system is causing problems a whole series of faults appear.
Good luck in finding the issue
