There can't be anyone who isn't aware that using a phone (or several other gadgets) while driving is dangerous and a serious offence that can cost you your licence, or worse, much, much worse.
This happened not far from where I live.
Just flagged up, probably as I watch Ashley Neil's videos.

Grim, to say the least.

Bentley, part of VW....

With acknowledgement to Katy Perry!

Are you going to give it a try :?: Have you had a test drive :?: What did you think :?:
This thread may not get immediate use, but when you do go for a test drive either with your nearest EV seller, or you have a special trip to Milton Keynes, or you have a go of a friends tell the assembled FCF throng...

Anyone have any memories of going to the Motor Show at Earl's Court in their youth, or for those whose youth was after 1978 at the NEC in Birmingham :)

I think it was October 1971 when we went to the motor show because the new Range Rover was one of the cars I remember thinking I'd like one of those! Probably not an obvious choice, with much...

So far I'm responsible for ww2, our kids, and the sky being grey, wow, anyone else have this,.....

I could not resist sharing this:

I bought this 'feature phone' in the States on my last visit, years ago now, it's tied to an American network so unusable here, tried to get them to unlock it but they've never obliged so it's been sitting here as a paperweight for years.
It still switches on and some of the features work but I can't use it with a Brit sim card, I'm told there's a...

I don't usually watch tv in the mornings but couldn't miss this morning's triathlon from my childhood playground Sutton Park where I spent a lot of my time
The park was about a 2 miles walk from our house and a regular stomping ground for us youngsters, several pools for angling, an outdoor lido, a mid lake boat for the sea scouts and much much...

I follow a lot of car people on Twitter and occasionally see interesting stories from followers of theirs.

This story comes from an independent Tesla mechanic: a customer of his bought a 3rd-hand Tesla model 60. At some point in the past, the battery pack was replaced by Tesla under warranty with an improved battery from a model 90 (presumably...

Kills an hour of your time. :)

Interesting article I saw on another forum, which talks about Toyota introducing support for HVO100 non-fossil diesel across Hilux, Land Cruiser and Proace models in 2023:

HVO100 (hydrated vegetable oil) meets the EN 15940 European quality standard for paraffinic diesel. It has a higher cetane number (c80) than standard diesel and has a lower...

I have at last got the dates for SWMBO's trip to Australia so I have started looking at my intended road trip from 23rd to 26th March. I intend to visit Ely Cathedral, cross the Humber Bridge, saunter up to Scarborough for overnight at a travel lodge or similar. Then on past Filingdales to Middlesborough Transporter Bridge and the Tyne Tunnel for...

Expanding all the time and already in place in the Transport for London Congestion Zone, and in many other locations across the country.

Personally I welcome it. Already here in Northumberland and the Scottish borders too, and not just outside schools and on housing estate roads, but through villages, and in town.

Wales becomes the...

US tourist injured falling into Mount Vesuvius crater after taking selfie. A man, 23, was trying to retrieve his mobile phone and he and his family now face charges for entering forbidden area.

Not sure if this should go in the pickled egg videos but anyway:

I have just read a post reply from Marc about a front shock absorber for a Citroën C5,

Well unfortunately, both left and right suspension struts are no longer available. If they looked properly, they would know this.

./download/file.php?id=45130
....... complete strut item (1) indicates 'NFP' (no longer available) .
The seals at (8) & (9)...

you will need more than your pocket money to buy this.

I often watch my TV with the sound off, can't abide sports commentators rabbitng on, also dumb off the adverts.
So does it use less electricity to have the TV on without the sound? :)

Sorry messed that up came up with something different to what I was intending.

Hello Marc,
Hope I am requesting the following in the right place....

In Gloucester Tuesday thought 'what's that?' Reg number suggested it was 2014 but looked it up and seems not to have been marketed that early.

Cups dropped onto a tiled floor don't bounce. :(

Just a word of warning for anyone due to renew their photocard driving licence. My photocard expires in the last week of May, i got the renewal reminder through last week so thought i might as well just get it over & done with straight away incase i forgot about it. I done it online & it just uses the photo from your passport. I assumed it would...

What was the name of that company who sold Total fluid along with other oils etc. They were a company that supplied garage forecourts but many on here bought from them.

Well what can i say #-o #-o

Last Wednesday i had a pre payment electric smart meter fitted as trying to be good and energy costs are rising i thought it was a good idea and whilst PAYG is more expensive i dont have to worry about my DD being upped by 50-70% a month :-D
So old meter taken out, a key payment meter, and the new super doopper smart...

I had a Citroen C5 that I used to run on cooking oil many years ago. I can't remember which model though as i've had many over the years. However I used to buy cooking oil at around 65p per litre until I got awarded the chance to collect the used oil from a few hotel and restaurant kitchens.
Then I changed the car for, I think a newer model of a...

If anybody is considering hiring a narrowboat for a few days PLEASE do a proper search for REPUTABLE boat hire companies. Some hire companies are more than willing to just take your money, and then, when things go badly wrong, wring their hands, saying something like We showed them how to handle the boat and told them how to behave on the waters....

Just been told Peacocks in Monmouth is going up in flames.

This just up the road from me.

Good evening all..

I'm aware there's some members who live in, or travel to France regularly. Could one of you lovely folk please tell me what the prices of diesel and unleaded 95 petrol are hovering around at present?

Thanks!

Hi all,

I'm travelling to Biscarosse, south of Bordeaux on the Atlantic Coast of France at the end of May. We will be 2 adults and two kid, both 12 years old.

I have got a C3 Picasso, 1.4 petrol, 2011 with 62k miles on it, and a 2003 Xsara Picasso HDi with 127k on it. Both are in regular use, serviced properly, and have newish tyres on.

I can't...

Looking for some advise and knowledge please.
I've recently bought a 1980 Kwak Z650 (because I don't have a moped). One coil is dead i think. It's got a very weak spark, as in you get a tingle when holding the plug not a smack. I've swapped the the 2 coils over to take the points and condenser out of the equation and the issue stays with the coil,...

I came across this youtube track by accident when looking for the Jim Reeves original. It is so bad that it has only managed 384 views in 10 years with no comments! It ocurred to me that there must be lots of youtube videos that are truly terrible but where, and this is the point, the artist obviously thinks they are good enough to make the video...

This has been mentioned elsewhere but I can't remember where.

I don't like touch screens so am clearly biased, much prefer proper knobs and buttons.

A review of a couple here.

Electric cars

Over the summer my mate in Spain, near Murcia, is coming over for some English summer treats, and to escape the oven time, so I will fly out and drive back with him and his dog, and reverse the process on his return to Spain. My approach to this type of trip is to plan the route, book the overnight stops, book the ferries etc etc. However he has...

The Zoe doesn't have a cd player but it does have a USB port so I thought I'd stick some music on a USB stick

So I've got a dozen or so old music cassettes and a load of CDs, using the free 'Audacity' programme I've transferred the music from the cassettes to the computer, then I get to s'ave as' and the options are Mp3 or .wav but which to use?

Yes, I know I am early, but I saw a location where there are several Toyota 22 reg cars being stored, ready for delivery tomorrow.

This looks useful and free to use without registering although it does keep referring to 'professionals'

I have never seen an auction catalogue with such a huge variety of photographic equipment as well as other collectibles. You'll have to go to page 2 (Edit:- when set at 240 items per page) to find the start of the photo stuff but then it goes on to the end of page 4!! There must be a bargain or two to be had if you know what you are after!!: :-D

Just chatting to my old friend, she's looking out her window watching a new neighbour hanging the washing out, Look at the way she's hanging that lot all mixed up, shirts and socks, towels and trousers, if our mom was still alive she'd turn in her grave. :rofl2:

My daughter posted this pic she took the other day, ship aground in Chesapeake Bay Suez Canal wasn't big enough for them, seems even the Bay wasn't. :)
