PHP CVE-2026-109618 and CVE-2026-109619

by xantia_v6 » 21 Oct 2026, 21:49 » in Forum News, Announcements and Issues

First post

The forum was offline for an hour or so while applying the patches for this significant security weakness.

There is a possibility that some forum functions are broken, as I have not been able to do much testing.

Last post

It'll be reet!

Thanks for acting so promptly though reading up about this in more detail I think another patch will be due soon because a company called Chainguard broke an embargo with The PHP Foundation and released the patch 6 hours earlier thus giving hackers access to the patch before a dedicated deadline that had been agreed by TPHPF.

Disruption to Parts Service

As you may be aware, the consolidation of the old PSA to the Stellantis Group systems has resulted in both a merge of data tools and a requirement to migrate PSA accounts to Stellantis Systems.

This has caused some problems for organisations like ours and the Team are currently looking at the best way forward. This...

I have to say i know the seller pretty well and i can honestly say this is a lovely BX, nothing in the slightest bit sinister. I think the lack of pics is more down to the fact he's not got a digital camera.

New MOT and engine change

by mbunting » 13 Feb 2006, 16:29

First post

Ok, so one of my hair brained ideas ( which will never actually happen :? ) is to put a 1.9TD engine into an Activa - that way you get reasonable performance, much better economy, and 1.9TD engines are easier to find than 2.0T's !

So, assuming I go through all the jumps and hoops, and inform DVLA etc.. of the engine number change - what will...

Last post

If you REALLY wanted a 1.9TD activa, I would have thought the easier way to do this would be to buy a LHD 1.9TD activa on the continent (that model exists in LHD) and import it to the UK. Then, either drive it as a LHD, or use parts from a £30 scrapper car to convert it to RHD (not as hard as you might think)

Alternatively, buy a 1.9TD model, and...

Nope.

Home heating oil is 28 second viscosity, and is not dyed. It has far less lubricity than road diesel, and (slightly) lower calorific value.

There are two types of home heating oil, one is pretty much the same thing as paraffin and the other is the same as red diesel. Red diesel isn't very commonly...

Was anyone else up at 1-2am last night?! Brilliant programme on Men and Motors channel about the Plymouth to Dakar rally. It was about a rally from a few years ago I think.
Anyway, one of the cars was a BX! H reg. I didn't see it at the end of the programme, so I don't know if it made it or not, does anyone know?
Looks great fun, I would love to...

After months of telling my wife that the ZX TD WAS the car for her,& the fact that she then wanted a ZX TD :D ,she sees a Astra TD & falls in love with it :x .Ok,so its got the toys,P/S,E/W,C/L etc,but shes only had it a week,& so far its had a new battery, new glow plugs & a service. It would`nt start,so she flatten`d the battery trying.KILLED IT!...

I have 2 work friends with Vectras.1 a 120cdti,the other a 150cdti.While they no doubt have a good engine, the cars themselfs just feel like any other car.A bit bland. The Xantia feels alot nicer inside,& i think the build quality in mine is better than their newer cars.
We took the Astra to London this w/end.I drove there & back. While it was a vast...

Well I have finally done it  I have got the top of the range Rover 75 I have lusted after since 1998 so the Xant will have to take a back seat and eventually find a new home

To all moderators and good people who have saved me hundreds if not thousands over the last few years thank you very very much.

The guy who is reparing it, reckons its a classic case of not letting the engine run for a while before you turn off.

After a 90 mph run, theory says it should tick over for about 12 minutes, we all know that doesn't happen :?

If it was a high specific output engine with a turbo, for example a Subaru Impreza Turbo, you might recommend letting...

Seriously though, I think people of my age (ish) were brought up in cars that were very very basic

I'd agree with that!! Compared to my Vitesse, the BX is positively opulent luxury management class motoring!!

In the Triumph I do have the luxury of 12 volt electrics- but fed by a dynamo, screen washers that are worked by a hand-pump,disc brakes...

cheap steel wheels/tyres

by ralph » 10 Jan 2006, 10:13

Here's a tip - dealers often have a surplus of steel wheels taken off new cars which have been 'upgraded' to alloys and fatter tyres.

I had a rear wheel stolen from my Xsara last week (thief even took the wheel nuts and dropped the car on the ground). But my day was saved by a Citroen dealer who sold me a steel rim complete with new Michelin...

Great journey no major hassles (well not on the continent at least).

I have finally made it back!

When Andyspares died last year I followed the route to here but was having so many major pc problems I didn't log on.

I think my pc died in sympathy with Andyspares and I had to rebuild it with a new motherboard and cpu.

Got back up and running just before Christmas and have been slowly adding programs and going...

Hi all,

This is my first post here so I thoought I'd better introduce myself. I've been a lifetime Citroen fan (grew up with my parents running 2CV's and CX's, then owned four 2CV's, a Visa RD, two BX's and two Xantia). I run a Xantia TD now (bought from FDV on ebay in April and given the engine from my old written off one).

I've been reading...

Cheers Stinkwheel - I'm sure I'll be asking lots of questions - and yes, I have got it very bad unfortunately....

Four of my first five cars were 2CV (the other was a brown Visa diesel) and I miss them a lot. After the 2CV's, i was charmed by diesel BX's and Xantias. (I'm not sure why I suddenly changed from 2CV's to BX's but think it may have...

Worth a look in the WHSmiths library near you.... :!:

The ZX project looks good, They mention fitting a new sump gasket in the future.

I can see it leaking still afterwards, I reckon it wants the hockeystick oil seall doing at the same time

CRASH

Well if the average motorist could see this, then maybe they would think twice before pulling too close in front of a truck, and taking away the trucks braking distance.

It really is amazing that they forget physics, and common sense, and think that a much bigger, and heavier vehicle can stop as quick as a car.

They needed various cars in the...

Aaahh. Once the wheels are locked, mass doesn't come into it, so long as the tyres provide the same coeficient of friction!
