Especially to a Mr Jon Wood for services above the call of duty, I hope he looks in to see this

Hmmmm Rover 75
Have you checked the engine cooling fans run when the aircon is switched on? Theres a £400 modification needed if they dont work correctly.
Have you checked under the plastic cover behind the bulkhead? The 2 x drain holes block up EASILY & drown the engine ECU? Thats a £600 repair to put right.

You might find it worthwhile to check out Car Mechanics magazine because over the last few issues they have been featuring Rover 75s & how to fix all the common faults this car suffers from, The editor of the mag is a big Rover 75 fan.
So far we have had the buying guide, Where to get Rover parts from, How to fix the faulty cooling fan, How to change a clutch & this month was how to repair a worn gearbox.
Next months instalment is a service on a CDT model & resetting the service warning light.

The 75 series was the thing that made me finally go for it, The Editor is a long time fan of Cit's and what he said about Xania's was very true and honest, So I have taken it all in and got one at last.
I have to say the first day has been very very immpressive

When Rover went under some months, I admit that I said I might end up driving a Rover, but I speak for all on this forum here...
WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?
I suspect that the Rover experience will be not unlike the Citroen experience, the difference being the badge. Its probably not a bad time to own a 75 with them being so cheap right now and parts still being available. Once the new cars are all sold and all of the servicing on the 1, 2 and 3 year old cars has been done the remaining dealers will no doubt lose interest and parts won't be so easy to come accross, that'll be the time to come back to Citroen, but until then enjoy your new car (while everything on it works properly).

Nanjing automotive are going to produce the 75 in china and are apparently going to resume some kind of production at Longbridge so all the dealers (obviously a lot of them have shut down since what happened), will most likely supply Nanjing built 75's etc in the future. God knows when this will be, and will the actually start any kind of production back at Longbridge? I doubt it.
Regarding parts, the distribution is performed by X-part, a company owned by Catapillar so I wouldnt see parts supply being a problem from what I have read. Engine-wise its the BM engine so shouldnt be a prob with parts for that either.
An interesting place to wander over to is http://www.austin-rover.co.uk/ Im sure you guys will be able to remenisce (sp?) about the lovely old marina's and Allegro's you've owned in years gone by.. Also tells a lot about the recent demise.
