Disruption to Parts Service

This has caused some problems for organisations like ours and the Team are currently looking at the best way forward. This...

if the yellow handle has been pulled would that stop the hand brake coming on until it has been reset?
and yes you can put second hand part on as long as you get the right one
ie: automatic for auto and manual for clutch, it only needs programming for a virgin unit

It could be a similar position to other MPV'S with the tight bulkhead/engine configuration.

Just hoping it ain't scuttle panel off. Maybe reach from up and under the car? Just wanting to change coolant.

Hi all, the power steering pipe on my 2005, 1.5dci renault kangoo has corroded and split. Anyone know if the pipe splits into sections or is it a whole pipe replacement. It looks like it has various joints in it but they appear to be like a crimp joint, if you get me.
The pump is behind the front bumper and in front of the wheel arch

Hi All,

In preparation for the forth coming MOT I've been doing some jobs on the Scenic, plus other jobs to get it back into full working order.

The heater fan had a serious rattle that was driving me nuts so I bought a used one from eBay. Unfortunately it's a dash out job.

A faulty EGR was bringing up the engine management light and...

That will be nice sorted car when you are done. I hope you get many miles from her.

Hi everyone. Here is a question for all you Renault Scenic owners. Having been a Peugeot technician for approx 12 years or more, and the owner of a Citroen Xsara Picasso, i think i know both of these French makes fairly well. I know absolutely zero about the Renault cars (except that they used to make some really cool stuff-Clio v6, 5 Turbo2).
My...

scenic rear door lock out of synch

by gadgetgricey » 05 May 2013, 22:29

Basically replaced the rear door on my wife's Scenic as the last one was damaged in a minor car park incident

Got a replacement door in the same colour, so thought jobs a good 'un.

However just realised that the new door unlocks when the other doors lock, and locks when the other doors unlock.

Disconnected it once and then locked the doors and...

Renault 5 TR - what to look out for?

by ragger » 24 Apr 2013, 16:12

First post

I am seriously considering the purchase of 1237cc Renault 5 of 1989 vintage. Between the early seventies and the late nineties, I owned several of both generations and I am keen to have another simple car to go with the XM which is far from simple. Since my last R5 was actually bought new in 95, it is a very long time since I had much to do with...

Dear Ragger,
Hi-there,
I may be wrong, but if I remember correctly, these engines are all over head valve push-rods and tappets. With a small timing chain from the crankshaft to the camshaft with tensioner to keep the chain tight. Waterpumps were usually fitted right next the radiator, with some fan blades on normally.
The same set up as the...

sump plug on 1.4 meganne

by bill hughes » 23 Apr 2013, 14:07

Hi a bit of a shot in the dark but the sump plug on my meganne is proving impossible for me to get out, has anyone had this problem and did they overcome it somehow, any advice would be appreciated many thanks

Last post

Dear Bill,
Normally a half inch drive ratchet with the appropiate adapter, would suffice to undo a sump plug Bill
If it is a little stubborn to shift, I find that if you give your ratchet handle a belt with a fairly large rubber mallet, should get it shifted Bill.
If it still doesnt move, you can use a half inch drive wheel brace ( a...

My father had a petrol lacuna for about 8 years.
To be honest he had very few problems until recently, but then again it would be 12 years old now so thats not surprising.
It was an ok car but I found it uninteresting. If going from a to b is your only concern then ok, but it was too much of a boring drive for me and the interior, although...
