1997 Laguna estate sagging rear suspension

Hi All,

A friend of mine down in the Charente has a Laguna estate and the back end is lower than normal. The car is 300 miles away (I'm in Brittany) but I believe that it's a torsion bar setup; if it is, is adjustment a DIY job or should I tell her to take it in to her friendly neighbourhood garage bloke?

Many thanks for your reply. I had a feeling that might be the case, but is there any specific reason I should leave well alone, such as special tools required, etc.

Not sure that I have specifically done a Laguna of that era, but the torsion bars are always seized solid due to age, and a hot spanner/ big hammer is usually the order of the day.

OK Lighty, thanks for getting back to me. It doesn't sound the sort of job to be doing lying on your back with the car on axle stands then!
