Dear All,
i need some help again.
i just replace the engine oil by myself ( the last user let it be 20,000 km from the previous replacement) .
but the problem is that there is a "000 000 oil" on the mil age display.
i guess that this is the service oil counter ..
how to reset this one to let it start new counting.
Thank you
Toh

Re: Megane I 1997
Not at all but the Renault forum has a lot fewer posts and viewers than the Citroen forum.
A lot of Citroen and Peugeot stuff is applicable to both but a lot of Renault items differ.
You could try the Citroen/Peugeot trick of pressing the trip meter reset button then turn the ignition to the second click but don't start it - IIRC this works on Vauxhalls & VWs too.
You will probably find that it will count down to zero or to the correct distance for the car to travel to the next service point.

Dear Toh,
I am not really sure to be honest, but you may try;- whilst " holding " the trip reset button " in " constantly and turning your ignition key " on " and then " off, and " on " again and " off again, and turn it " on " again and finally " off " once more. ( So that is 3 on and off 3 times in total ) and after the switching off for the last, keep your finger pressed on the trip reset button for a few seconds afterwards, and hopefully that may work.
Vince,
