I have a Citroen C5 X7 with the factory Hi-Fi sound system, and I’m thinking about replacing the original door speakers.

The reason is that the spider on my current speakers has come unglued, so they don’t sound good anymore.

From what I found, the factory speakers are 165 mm (6.5 ). My questions are:

That system uses component speakers (seperate tweeter and woofer) so if replacing the woofer, make sure you replace it with only a woofer not a speaker that's two-way (i.e. one that incorporates a tweeter also) otherwise it will not sound good - you'll have too much top end and the sound stage will be messed up.

I swapped the O2 sensor (the one before the catalytic converter) on my 2005 C2 1.4 petrol the other day.
It started fine but after driving it I noticed an intermittent issue.

Update - I recently added a bottle off fuel injector cleaner in the tank and drove it like I stole it LOL. Much better, only a slight misfire from time to time on idling. Going to add another bottle soon and hopefully will sort the issue.

Hi,

I've installed a Citroen/Webasto Thermo Top Evo auxiliary heater (9687946580) in my car, which was factory fitted in another Citroen C5 (X7) from the same year (2012), same engine (DW12C) and it was previously checked, so it had no problems.
I already had the original wiring in place, so I just had to install the heater and the fuel pump....

Hi all, made a rookie mistake when changing knackered strut mount/bearing, ive pulled the drive shaft out by mistake and lost some gearbox oil. Thankfully it was jacked up in the front corner so haven't lost it all.

Any advice on how big a job draining and refilling it is (no idea where the drain and fill plugs are) and what oil it should take...

Over the past few days I have experienced that my **C5 Tourer 2.0 from 2014** does not have pressure in the brake system when it has been parked overnight, for example.

When I press the brake pedal, the pressure builds up and then the brakes work normally again.

It is not losing any brake fluid.

The brakes get their power from a vacuum pump mounted on the end of the cylinder head. There is a vacuum reservoir built into the brake booster. It sounds like you have a leak in the vacuum system, maybe in a hose or non-return valve.

This is an oil pressure switch . It shorts to ground when there is oil pressure. So if it were to short to ground from a frayed wire, that would only give you a false oil pressure indication. I can't see how it would stop the engine from starting.

Hello all

First post here, so please be kind. I have a 2016 Citroen C4 Picasso Diesel 1.6L BlueHDi Exclusive. Recently, the battery was discharged. After the battery was charged, the key fobs can open the car, start it but when you try to lock it. It triggers the alarm. The issue happens with both key fobs.

Bit of background the Mrs topped up.her oil and left the cap off, this covered everything in oil including the matted panel than fits with the press studs to.the bottom of the rail that runs across the engine bay supporting the scuttle etc

Went out to my car this morning and started the engine as normal.
Put my foot on the brakes to select drive, but gear lever would not budge far enough.
I can hear a clicking noise from the gear lever area and the lever moves a little, but will not allow me to select any gears.

Should I pour petrol all over it and add a lighted match?

On every other car I've worked on since the 1970's I've either been able to suss out the wiring myself or with the help of a Haynes manual. The C5 X7 doesn't seem to have any old fashioned manuals with diagrams. I've bought a downloadable workshop manual from eBay but it failed to load despite numerous attempts. Haynes does an online version but...

Hi folks,
There was request from mate of mine if there is any chance to be made something about broken hooks for that trunk blind / cover. One option is 54e for set from Citroen or.. 3D printed new ones.
I spent some time measuring, modelling and test so here is some result that is kind`a OK for use / print.

The issue it is having is Engine cranking but Non start, Temp gague is at max, Engine managment light is flashing, coil light is staying on and relay constantly clicking. To inform you that I have managed to find a good second-hand shock assembly and fitted it. The steering sits at an angle towards the left. I have noticed the wheels are wearing on the inside, so they are toeing out. Hopefully, the wheel alignment will cure the loose steering issue.

More and more over the past 3 months the alarm will go off without obvious cause on my year 2000 Xantia Hdi90 saloon. When I leave the car, I lock and alarm with the 'blip' but probably on one in three occasions the alarm will go off. Usually after only two or three minutes, sometimes after 20 or 30 minutes.

1 month ago i have regassed 6 spheres on my Citroen C5 X7 Tourer, 2.0 HDI 2012.

On the very first ride i have noticed that the suspension became quite stiff, it wasn't as soft as before.
