Re the 407 door seal issue and airbag warnings, after a few days of rain and testing with the hose, I gave up as water was still pooling on top of the bottom door seal and then running inside the car.

My solution was to put a few holes thru the seal with a leather hole punch tool which seems to allow the water to exit (the door seal gets squashed...

I have a Mk2 C4 picasso 1,5 Airdream First few months of owning was really nice, and then the knocking started. So far i have replaced, the shocks, anti roll bars, track rod ends, other various bushes, each time after it has been on a ramp, the noise vanishes, so i think what the garage has changed has worked, then few miles later the knocking...

Only need to replace the side that is loose, you used to be able to buy the bushes only, but now they only come complete, and are a bit pricey.

Knocking on lock is likely to be a CV joint - these make a very distinct noise, anyone that knows will ID it straight away!

Hello, need a bit of advice or opinions on buying a c5
My car, 2000 Xantia 1.8 petrol, 185,000 miles (i know, low mileage)
Needs a new starter motor, spheres all round, possibly more welding around the sills, dent in the rear door repairing. The last 2 MOT's have cost around £1600
looking at a low mileage 45000 2005 c5 1.8sx for £1995 ono.

Hi all.

I am thinking of replacing the battery on my C5 as I have no idea if it is not the original one or just a dodgy replacement as the economy mode kicks in a few seconds after the engine has cut off.
I don't think it is the alternator as it has been like this for a while and never let me down.
I am not very experienced in swapping batteries...

If it detects an intermittent fault then it puts the light on, and it stays on 5 engine starts, but the code remains in the memory. All yours are intermittent, but it's not clear which one put the light on - but given the engine speed of the crank sensor one that seems likely. I would go back in clear the codes and then see which come back.

I am the new owner of a Citroën C5 Cross Tourer 2.2 2014.
I have a question about the height of the car.

As it is a Cross tourer , the ground clearance is 60 mm higher at speeds up to 10 km/h and 40 mm higher at speeds up to 40 km/h.

No, it can't be switched or turned off. The settings are pre-configured depending on the version and the reference heights are programmed at the factory. Only minor adjustments can be made using Diagbox (after completing the comprehensive suspension height measuring procedure and making the calculations to enter into Diagbox). So I can't advise as...

Hi, I would think there is in service box but I had strip my front struts on a 2016 C3 1.4 HDI this year which may be the same. I used the attached page to line them up but found it would have been easier to mark then before removal.

I have just bought my second Xsara Picasso but comes with a few faults.
It's an 06 model 1.6hdi. the faults point to a new lighting trafficator sw.
When indicating left with headlight on ind flashes for 3 flashes and then stops.
Also noticed that foglights are not coming on which will be an MOT fail .
Obviously I can replace the switch fiddly but...

Exhaust p/n 0952 66

used in the xm, 605, maybe the A610? Not sure if the 24v make it's way into those. (dunno about volvos at all), I'd imagine someone still does springs.

My lovely C5 tourer has been faultlessly reliable (honestly!) until this winter where it has developed what I am convinced is a drivetrain vibration. In November time, accelerating in any gear but especially in 1, 2 and 3 created a torque-related vibration that was so severe all the interior plastics started rattling.

You need a diag tool that can read live data, and to watch the denox system data as it warms up.

Should see 4 bar pressure initially, and some level in the tank (not more than 6l as this is max it can read)
Should then go to pressurising when pressure should rise to 6 bar
Then it should go to injecting when pressure will drop to around 5.5 bar...

Good evening all, I've had a 2nd additive tank installed under warranty on my 2012 berlingo van. It was fine the first refill but the 2nd time I added diesel the warnings back. I've checked the diagnostics and the ECU as flagged up the code again for the tank. Run diagbox and done replacement parts under additive tank and ecu and deleted the codes...
