Well, I have had some success. The car will now select first and reverse gears correctly. Still no 2-3-4. I am worried something internal to the shift control unit has failed or become stuck. Since it had a high pressure leak when presented, we never tried any gears other than first, so it's possible it was failed then.

Forgot to update this, but replacing the full mirror was, while roughly three times the cost of the actuator gamble, much easier and more straightforward.

Both traces indicate a sluggish regulator to me meaning it is slow to change under sudden demand. A thorough clean may solve it . :)

Different results online, apparently my c3 doesn't have a vvt as it is a diesel engine, only petrol has vvt, other results point towards glow plugs, will have to take it to a an autoelectrician and get a proper diagnosis as I only have a basic scanner

Sure, I agree that draining from the sump is beneficial.

However, for some reasons, legit draining may be difficult for me, and my priority is to have 10k/1Y OCI in my 3.0 HDI.
As the car is still new to me, Im just wondering has anyone extracted oil from the dipstick in HDI240 and how much oil remains in the sump.

As Mick says above. And do check the fusebox and associated electrical complexity located near the bulkhead on the LH side of the engine bay. Blocked drains from the windscreen scuttle can allow water to collect in this region and cause all sorts of electrical problems when the fusebox gets wet as a result.

Keep an eye on those drains and keep...

That's incredible. The fact that just 20 drops of used oil can change the color of fresh oil so dramatically suggests the coloring compounds are extremely potent.

As illustrated when doing a diesel oil change with filter. Despite the new filter and doing one's best to get as much old oil out as possible, the new oil is very soon black again!...

Just posting a follow-up, they re-gassed the system and pressure-tested it. Found no obvious leaks, so the regas was successful and the AC now works perfectly!

How do they recharge the system with gas when 0994 means compressor clutch not engaging or open circuit?

Well finally something i got right on the ballache of car, the windscreen has to very faint white lines I used that to line up the passenger side wiper the set the drivers just below, seems to work fine gets full sweep to the edges of the screen and parks as per the pics above.

Yes for LHD the fuse is behind the steering wheel. It be above (maybe behind) the normal fusebox.

Just noticed your car is a 1.4 vti. We had a 2010 C3 with that engine and it always used oil so something to keep an eye on. I can not remember the amount but was possibly half a litre every 2000 miles. Timing chains wear out as well, ours needed a new one at about 50k miles and started giving fault codes related to the timing

Sister in law had 2, sequentially, very good and sensible car even though her first one was bright cat-sick green. I don't recall anything going wrong. She found it easy to take her bike to places with the seats down.

On my 2018 Expert van if I fold in the door mirrors using the door switch it overrides them from folding remotely until I fold them out again using the door switch.
I use this function often as when I'm working I can be back and forth to the van several times an hour and don't want the door mirrors folding every time.

No faults since putting bot back in.....bit of a mission but worth it.....followed the youtube videos.
