Citroen C5 x7 2.0 HDI 2011 electric parking brake fault

am getting an electric parking brake error in my vehicle. A mechanic and I removed the system; I am uploading photos showing the faults, including some broken plastic pieces found inside. We tested the motor and it is functional; power is reaching the connector. I suspect this specific component is the issue. Additionally, the vehicle's display shows an error message indicating that the parking brake has been left engaged.

I would be very grateful if those of you with some insight could share your thoughts or offer some advice; we really need to resolve this situation, as I am currently unable to get my vehicle through its inspection.
