Hi
If you find the diaphragm of the PCV has split/perished which causes an air leak (air can be heard escaping from the cap) and the fault code P2074.
I wanted to share a temporary fix/bodge to get the car out of limp mode and drivable - this enabled me to drive 650miles home rather than suffer AA relay, or wait a few days for the part to arrive and be fitted.
Remove the PCV cap carefully, try as best you can to not break any of the 4 clips on the cap - thats the ideal scenario
Leave the spring and perished diaphragm in housing, lay on top of the diaphragm a plastic/vinyl glove.
Trim the glove to size
Put cap back on
If you break a clip on the cap you'll need a cable tie.
That should hopefully get the car on the move again.

That's an excellent bodge emergency repair.
As I get older I think a lot about the hereafter - I go into a room and then wonder what I'm here after.
