2012 Citroen C4 Grand picasso window issue

Unread post by Cacrawfordbsc »

My C4 picasso has recently developed an issue where the driver's side window controls act strangely, the switch for the drivers window works perfectly as do the mirror controls but the controls to operate the other windows act odd.
For example when pressing the button for the front passenger window down it does nothing however if you pull it up the window goes down.

I have replaced the switches with a brand new module.

Quite often these days the motion of 'up' is associated with 'open' and 'down' with 'close' rather than the more traditional 'press to open' 'pull to close'. If it is both opening and closing OK you may have to just learn to do things differently!! :)
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

Did it do this before the new switch was put on and was it a copy part or original bought against your vin ? You could try a bsi reset but as Mickthemaverick says, if it is working ok you could live with it.

Sorry for the delay in replying, I'll clarify the 3 switches that control the front passenger and rear windows on the driver's side controls only make the windows go down no matter if I pull the switch up or push it down.

I have tried a bsi reset also and the replacement window switch is an original part pulled from a known working car.
