Given the number of 'After-sales campaign' notices concerning Takarta Airbags I have been made aware of when looking up parts from PSA for members, I thought I would post a link to the following documentary that may be informative concerning the issue with these igniters.

According to Takata, the chemicals in the airbags’ explosive charge can...

Disruption to Parts Service

As you may be aware, the consolidation of the old PSA to the Stellantis Group systems has resulted in both a merge of data tools and a requirement to migrate PSA accounts to Stellantis Systems.

This has caused some problems for organisations like ours and the Team are currently looking at the best way forward. This...

Does it still go down when you press the right bit?
Sorry! That's below gutter level!

Last post

Well I like Citroens, and all types of music.
So I found that this combines the two !

I think Citroen did a nice job with the bodywork on this model ! LOL

COOL ? LOL :-)

A lad at work crashed his Scooby in the snow today - so much for their rally derived 4WD system, eh?
The Impressya never impressed me. I don't have the curvature of the spine to be able to drive one with my head over the passenger seat, and 23 mpg (if you're lucky) must deter all but those most desperate to compensate for a small winky.

Last post

Have you ever seen this type ?
The driver can be male or female yooof, the car could be a performance model like the one I saw this morning, (which the male driver would probably like to think should be called a Scooby Impressya ) or just a run of the mill car that the driver thinks is cool.
They tend to lean to one side, as if to be able to get...

Boost controller/gauge

by Mosser » 22 Feb 2005, 18:34

First post

have you considered using a dawes device instead of a boost controller ?, much faster reaction time,
and for a boost gauge, i have always used the autometer ultralight boost gauges on my petrol turbo cars, they have a very good reputation and work very well

Last post

Can anyone recommend a decent boost controller (not a bleed valve) and gauge? I am thinking of fitting these to my Activa for a bit of fun.

Dilemma - ZX or Motorbike.....

Why not get a new credit card with one of those 0% balance transferes and get the ZX on the new credit card and then cash on the bike. This way you'll have at least 9 months interest free on the ZX in which time you can either repair or sell on and clear the bill. Or the other way round.

Got a bit of a dilemma.... There is a garage near to one of my clinics with a K plate ZX 1.9D Reflex. Not in pristine condition, but not looking half bad with its alloys and gold metalic paint.
Its done a 146K, has a scrape of an MOT (May) and apart from a big hole where the wireless should be seems OK. Some odd dings and scrapes, but no where...

CHAVS & SKY

by Stuart McB » 21 Feb 2005, 17:02

First post

Why not try the chav alternative to the licence fee, and not pay it. This will then allow you to have sky TV plumbed in to the house just as Trisha comes on.

Last post

If you have Sky, then this will make you laugh !
Tonight, Monday Feb 21st on Sky 1, there will be a programme about Chavs.
I only have Freeview so will miss this !
Sky's too expensive !
The T.V. licence is expensive enough, add Sky subscription charges, then you have to work more hours, to earn more money to be able to afford it, then you get...

Any one seen this programme. Myth busters. Two guys who do just that. They try to either prove or dis-prove a myth. To day they had an old Cadillac small block V8 and tried to destroy it. They put sugar & moth bals in the tank, a penny in the hugh Holy carb and run the cooling system on Coke all of which didn't bother the engine. They holed the...

wierdest filer material used?

by uhn113x » 21 Feb 2005, 14:11

You are not alone, Stuart. There is ome in my GSA doing the same job, as the original oil separator became like unto a beefburger in weight and density.

Last post

Been out and checked the fluid levels yesterday morning on the old Xsara. Every thing great . Thought I'd check the air filter housing as it sometimes gets oil vapour trapped in it's internal filter that leads off the rocker cover. To my horror I on removal of the lid from the housing.... the filter was missing . Now I remember cleaning it last...

Amusing

by Stinkwheel » 19 Feb 2005, 22:51

Always funny that, in much the same way that lots of people get in the way of me in the 2CV on bends or even single a roads, they just have the idea that this car must not be in front of them.
by the way it was probably a subaru 'justy'

Last post

Was out for a drive this morning through Snowdonia, specifically along the Llanberis pass, when a pathetic little Subaru something or other beginning with J with some rather unsavoury looking occupants appeared rather rapidly behind me. The driver then proceeded to overtake on the way up the pass (I was about to pull over and let him past me...
